A sweet commander deck I had the idea of late one night. I've been trying to build a Sunforger deck for a very long time now, but couldn't decide which colors to use. I was going to either play Marisi, Breaker of the Coil, Queen Marchesa, or Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest. Marchesa was cool, because she added cards like Utter End and Anguished Unmaking, but I didn't really want to play Mardu. Marisi added green's ramp and Seedborn Muse, along with having a really cool effect. But I don't own a Marisi, and don't feel like leaving my house to buy cards. And Shu Yun had a playstyle that I've used many times before, and I got tired of super-aggroing too quickly for anyone else to do anything. But I still wanted to play a Jeskai Sunforger deck. So, as I was scrolling through EDHREC, a commander caught my eye. I've played Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker with Vial Smasher the Fierce, and she is an absolute beast. Paired with Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder for a very lethal pair of partner commanders, in the color scheme that I wanted to. So my brewing mind got to work, and I rattled off every Jeskai staple I could. I tried to keep it fairly cheap on Modo, but some of the lands are a tad expensive for my tastes. There are a couple of very powerful combos, such as Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder and any creature that has combat damage triggers (Dragonlord Ojutai). Godo, Bandit Warlord and Helm of the Host are also present. I've included various tutors to grab sunforger, but they can also be used to grab a sword or Teferi's Protection if need be. There are a couple of lands that have effects that can help Ishai one-shot your opponents. I'll be updating the decklist infrequently, and post any suggestions you may have in the comments
