Yes, I know the name is stupid. No, I don't care.

This deck is my favorite deck. Every game brings new Shenanigans for me to have fun with. This is a Brudiclad deck designed to create a bunch of tokens and turn them into an army of huge monsters. Using cards like Tilonalli's Summoner and Goblin Rabblemaster to create tokens, then playing large creatures like Wurmcoil Engine and Utvara Hellkite, and finally copying them with cards like Saheeli Rai and Splinter Twin to turn my tokens into copies of those large creatures.

The idea behind this deck is to create a small army of tokens. Once you have this army set up, you want to use Brudiclad's effect to turn all of your random tokens into a token army of cards like Wurmcoil Engine, Bane of Bala Ged, Stormtide Leviathan, etc.

To do this, we need token producers such Goblin Rabblemaster, Goblin Assault, Legion Warboss, etc. Once we have those we can start building our army.

Next, we need a large creature to copy. I mentioned earlier that we use creatures like Stormtide Leviathan for this. Once we have our large creature, we move onto the last part of the plan.

Finally, we need a way to create a token copy of our large creature. This is important because Brudiclad specifies tokens only so he can't work off the actual card. We do this with cards like Cackling Counterpart, Quasiduplicate, MImic Vat, etc. MImic Vat is especially noteworthy because we can potentially steal someone else's big, scary creature.

The deck primarily wins through an army of large creatures. It's very difficult for your opponents to stop you when you have 14 copies of Bane of Bala Ged and exile 28 permanents on attack. All of the high cost creatures in this deck are there because they have a huge impact on the game when there's just one of them, but when there's multiple of them they become almost unstoppable.

The second win condition is combat through small tokens. Sometimes we don't get a big game ending creature so we have to make do. The myr tokens that Brudiclad creates are good enough to put the pressure on opponents and I've won several games without ever getting a huge creature.

One of the changes I've been thinking about making to this deck is to add more high cost artifact creatures. Cards like Balefire Dragon are great, but these colors don't have many options for tutoring creatures. I was thinking about using cards like Blightsteel Colossus, Sharding Sphinx, etc. so that I can tutor for my game enders as well as everything else.

If I make this change, I'm also going to add cards like Whir of Invention and Fabricate.

The last change I'm thinking about is finding room for a combo win condition. I was planning to use Timestream Navigator with Brudiclad to take infinite turns.

If you have any suggestions on other cards that I can potentially throw in please let me know!

As of right now the deck has no cards that are sure to get cut. If any cards get cut in the near future it's most likely to be Dragon Mage because I almost never want the effect.

Deck has been a ton of fun to pilot. Some notable plays I've made recently include:

  • Made 11 copies of Wurmcoil Engine so I had an army that grew bigger every time one of them died and gained me boatloads of life. Lost to an Omnath, Locus of Mana equipped with Whispersilk Cloak.

  • Made 5 copies of Sin Prodder and got to trigger 4 of them on the upkeep because the original got stolen. Same match as the 11 Wurmcoil Engine's so I lost.

  • Swung with 4 Inferno Titan's in a one on one match. Won that match.

  • Swung with 8 copies of Bane of Bala Ged in a different one on one match. Ended up winning that one.

  • Hit with 5 different Dragon Mage's so the whole table wheeled 5 times. Ended up losing because I got blown out by Apocalypse before I could land a Combat Celebrant and go infinite.

  • Made 15 copies of Goblin Rabblemaster and swung out for a total of 240 damage. Won that game.

  • Made 7 copies of Balefire Dragon. Lost to an infinite combo. Not letting that player live one more turn again.

  • Kicked Rite of Replication on someone else's Nesting Dragon. Ended up with 12 copies of Nesting Dragon. Lost because I didn't realize the player that I left alive had a flyer with enough power to kill me on board.

  • Made 5 copies of Stormtide Leviathan and swung for lethal with the copies and the original. Won that game.

  • Kicked Rite of Replication on an opponent's Silverclad Ferocidons and ended up with 6 copies. Won the game at 1 life.

  • Made 14 copies of Utvara Hellkite. Swung out and made 168 dragon tokens. Won that game.

  • Made 7 Stormtide Leviathan's in a one on one match. Won that game pretty quickly afterwards.

  • Game got stalled out in a 1 v 1 which gave me plenty of time to do dumb stuff. So I made 59 copies of Utvara Hellkite. Was only able to swing with 5, so I got 295 dragons. Then used Feldon of the Third Path to make 355 copies of Wurmcoil Engine. Lost because of commander damage from Atraxa. Oh well, I got to do something ridiculous.

  • Made 11 copies of Utvara Hellkite in a 1v1 match. Swung out and made 121 dragon tokens, which killed my opponent by triggering Purphoros, God of the Forge for 242 damage.

  • Was at 10 life and dead on the next turn. Managed to make 17 copies of Wurmcoil Engine and swung to kill someone and gained 102 life, putting me at 112. Killed the rest of the table pretty quickly after that because they couldn't board wipe and they couldn't deal with my life gain.

  • Made 33 copies of Utvara Hellkite and swung out with all of them creating 1089 6/6 dragon tokens. Won that game.

  • Made 14 copies of Goblin Rabblemaster in a 1v1 and swung out with each of them getting +14/+0 to deal a total of 224 damage. Won that game.

  • Used Vizier of Many Faces to create 15 copies of Consuming Aberration, cast 2 spells and milled everyone else out, then swung 12 copies with 157 power each. Lost to an instant speed Cavalier of Flame off of Feldon of the Third Path.

  • Captain Lannery Storm: Attack, make a treasure token, then copy those treasure tokens. Repeatable token generation is one of the best things I can get for this deck.

  • Bloodforged Battle-Axe: This grows exponentially and gets out of hand really quickly.

  • Thopter Spy Network: Card draw and token generation make this one of the best cards in the deck.

  • Saheeli Rai: A copy effect on a very powerful planeswalker for only three mana. This card usually comes down after a large creature and I usually win the game shortly afterwards.

  • Mirrorpool: A land that can copy a powerful creature when I need it to. The thing that makes this card powerful is that land destruction doesn't pop up much in my group.

  • Rite of Replication: Create one or five of the most powerful creature on the board and then turn your entire token army into that creature. This cards wins game in this deck.

  • Hanweir Garrison  : Repetitive token generation that can grow to an insane level with Brudiclad.

  • Flameshadow Conjuring: One mana and my army automatically becomes any creature that enters the battlefield under my control. This card is extremely powerful.

  • Tezzeret the Seeker: The most powerful card in the deck. Everything this deck wants to be doing can be done with at least one artifact in this deck and Tezzeret can grab all of them. He's essentially a second copy of all of the best cards in my deck.

  • Skullclamp: This card is an MVP in all of my decks where it shows up. It's my favorite artifact in the whole game and works incredibly well with Brudiclad because I can keep drawing cards.

  • Goblin Rabblemaster: This card can either make an army or be the army. Either way it's unbelievable powerful in this deck.

  • Cackling Counterpart: A copy effect that I can cast from the graveyard. Being able to cast this card twice can be the difference between winning and losing. If plan A gets stopped then we cast plan B and copy it with flashback.

  • Quasiduplicate: Similar to Cackling Counterpart except I don't have to pay seven mana to cast it from the graveyard.

  • Saheeli, Sublime Artificer: Cast a noncreature spell and get a token. My army builds up pretty quickly and being able to turn one of the myr tokens from Brudiclad into a Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Mox Diamond, etc. in a pinch is incredibly good.

Eventually I hope to have this deck as foil as it can possibly be. Right now the deck has 53 foil cards so it's 53% foiled.

If you don't count the 7 cards that aren't available in foil then the deck has 53 foil cards out of 93 so it's 57% foiled.

The 7 cards that aren't available in foil are:

  • Volcanic Island: Unfortunately, it's likely this will never be available in foil.

  • Wheel of Fortune: Same goes for this.

  • Mox Diamond: I know this technically has a foil but I hate the look of the from the vault cards so as far as I'm concerned there is no foil.

  • Dance of Many: This an older card so it doesn't have a foil. I don't know if it's reserved list or not but either way I doubt it will ever get a foil.

  • Mystic Remora: Another older card with no foil. It's not on the reserve list so there is a possibility of a foil in the future.

  • Dockside Extortionist: This card was only printed once in the Commander 2019 precons. This is a very powerful card that has quickly become an EDH staple so I'm hoping it will get a foil printing in the next year or two.

  • Curse of Opulence: Another card only printed in a Commander precon. This one was in Commander 2017. I hope it gets a foil at some point but I doubt it will.

These are the other four out of my top five favorite decks:

  1. Ephara Approaches Again

  2. Bontu, The Champion

  3. Jund Em' Out

  4. It's a Riot

Suggestions Appreciated. Thanks for checking out my deck!
