Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer gave us something we've never really seen before - An Izzet Token Commander.

He (She? They?) packs an incredibly strong punch on top of it by making all your tokens into a copy of the token of your choice at the beginning of each combat. That brings us with a few different things we want to accomplish with this deck:

- Create insanely strong tokens: The main way to create very strong tokens is by creating tokens that are clones of creatures through cards like Cackling Counterpart or Feldon of the Third Path. If you want to add some more spice to the deck, though, you can always get Marit Lage off of Dark Depths along with Mirror Gallery.

- Create a lot of tokens (that don't need to be big, strong tokens): We're going to want a lot of tokens quickly so that we can overwhelm the opponent with those insanely strong tokens by making all these lesser tokens into copies of the bigger, stronger tokens. One important thing to note is that Brudiclad never says either have to be creature tokens, so if you want to turn each of your 20 treasure tokens into Blightsteel Colossus or turn all your tokens into treasure tokens, go for it!

- Get a lot of combat phases: Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer ability happens at the beginning of each combat. So, having multiple combat phases will allow you to create a new token, giving you one more of your potentially insanely strong creature. This will also be the way we win the game on the spot, particularly through Combat Celebrant or Scourge of the Throne creating infinite combat phases, which I will talk more about below.

Creating a Lot of Tokens

Without a lot of tokens, this deck does nothing. And so, a good portion of this deck is dedicated specifically to creating a lot of tokens. I chose every land I could find that produced a token to always have some source of token generation and some of (what I believe) are the best token generators in Izzet.

Important note, though: If you are able to clone your token generators (such as The Locust God and Sharding Sphinx) with some clone effects (and card:Hall of Mirrors if it's legendary) or Helm of the Host, it is a really good idea. Mass producing tokens like that will often do more in the long term than just creating single big creatures and giving your opponents time to react.

Creating Insanely Strong Tokens

There are a few ways in this deck to create some insanely strong tokens:

Your big token (tokens) are your finisher. If you make them known too early, you will either get targeted and killed or your opponents will have answers at the ready at the moment you are ready to strike. So, it is better to create the large token after already creating a sizable army of tokens.

Getting Extra Combat Phases

Combat Celebrant and Scourge of the Throne are the biggest wincons in this deck. Every combat phase, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer will create a new token, then turn that new token along with all the other tokens into new versions of Combat Celebrant and/or Scourge of the Throne. They will not remember their prior attacks/exerts, and so therefore they can keep doing their abilities again and again. You'll get tons of combat phases each time, too, so that it's really hard to stop chaining huge numbers of combat phases together.

Win!!!

Either win through an absurd amount of combat phases or running people over with huge hordes of giant creatures! Your choice! This deck should have potential for super flashy, exciting wins above everything else where you smash people in with huge hordes.
