So... I got to finally play this beast last night. It went 3-2, not bad not bad.
Game 1: 0-2 vs. Boros Angels
Round One-
Had him down to 1 life! Then a miricaled Terminus just screwed up my day... D': then he tossed down a Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and other nastys while I just drew into land.
Round Two-
I had to mull down to 5 keeping a hand with 2 land a Doomed Traveler, Intangible Virtue and my sided in Slaughter Games. However my advisory had a much better had and I missed my 4th land drop.
Game 2: 2-0 vs. Guurl Beasts
Round One-
Perfect hand! 3 lands, Doomed Traveler, Gather the Townsfolk, Lingering Souls & Falkenrath Aristocrat! Drew into a Orzhov Charm helped me get rid of early threats! When Falkenrath Aristocrat hit there wasn't much he had for answers.
Round Two-
Pretty much the hand. All and all perfect game!
Game 3: 2-1 vs. Izzet Delver Elemental Aggro thing
Round One-
He flooded the field with a bunch of one/two drops. Delver of Secrets
Flip and Nivmagus Elemental, playing Hidden Strings and Artful Dodge. After seeing all the one drops I played defensive and held back most of my good stuff. Turn 4 I was able to play Blasphemous Act wiping the board. Then I began to pump out tokens. My opponent was unable to recover.
Round Two-
I sided in 2 Assemble the Legion and 2 Slaughter Games. Having to mull down to 5 I kept a hand with 3 lands, Slaughter Games & Boros Reckoner. At this point i knew that i was going to lose... Plus I didn't want to mull down any further. My main goal was to play Slaughter Games and see what I was up against. Once I cast it, I called Nivmagus Elemental, then began to search his deck tossing 4 aside. His highest costing card in the whole deck was Guttersnipe. I then bricked into land and took the loss gracefully.
Round Three-
My opponent had a rocky start... Mulling down to 4 cards while I kept my first hand of 7. I was able to play out Assemble the Legion, Lingering Souls, Blood Artist 2 Geist-Honored Monks and a Boros Reckoner. Just beating him down.
Game 4: 1-2 vs. Boros Aggro
Round One-
By turn 3 he spewed his whole hand onto the table. I was able to keep pace. But once that Frontline Medic came out, I had to do something. I played my Killing Wave hoping that he'd counter it, which of course he did. Neither of us were to keen on losing 4 per creature. He still ended up winning the round once I used up all my value cards as blockers.
Round Two-
I was able to get rid of most of his small fry with 2 orzhov charms in opening hand. Then I was able to get out Gather the Townsfolk a Falkenrath Aristocrat and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad using his -2 giving all my creatures +1/+0. I was able to swing in with Falkenrath Aristocrat sacking the two human tokens to her and tossing a Boros Charm on her for that double strike goodness for the win.
Round Three-
Everything was going crazy. We both had great hands. Both had nice board presence. We were both down to 7-8 life. I was just unlucky and got hit with a Boros Charm at the end of my turn. Then he top drew another one for lethal.
Game 5: 2-0 vs. Dimir Zombies
Round One-
He was able to get out 5 low costing creatures. Feeling a little uncomfortable about the lack of creatures on my side, I cast Blasphemous Act clearing the board and then began pumping out tokens with Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and Lingering Souls. He was unable to recover for that wipe.
Round Two-
I was able to keep the zombies at bay for the first three turns with good old Orzhov Charm. Then it was a basically the same thing as the round before... Just adding Falkenrath Aristocrat into the mix.
All in all a good run for this decks first time out to a FNM. Suggestions and thoughts are still welcome on making this deck better! The only reason that this deck did as good as it did, was due to all the help from everyone in this community! Thank you all!
