Life Control, Linear Aggro, Mono-Black, Tribal: Vampires.

Building this I thought what makes vampires, well vampires? After finally getting to the point. I sink my teeth into the following parallels...

they drink blood (Exsanguinate), fast (CMC = 4), smart (Necropotence), strong (Bloodline Keeper  / Vampire Nocturnus), turn others into vampires (Captivating Vampire/ New Blood), and finally they are undead (Patriarch's Bidding).

As they deck took shape I found what was the most effective in game play.

Key Cards:

Aetherflux Reservoir: This card, kindly, helps counter balance Bolas's Citadel

Blood Artist/ Falkenrath Noble: These twins turn all board wipes into opportunity.

Blood Tribute: That allows the player to dump 20 (on a good day) life into card draw. Phyrexian Arena & Necropotence. Not to mention it also helps counter balance Bolas's Citadel

Sanguine Bond/Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose: These turn all "life gain" into a handy Drain Life and a nice 1 shot kill any player for Blood Tribute

Nevinyrral's Disk/Oblivion Stone: A major draw back to playing mono-black is the lack of artifact and enchantment destruction. Which is where these guys come in.

Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose is my newest addition and with his static ability the deck takes off on a whole new level. Originally, I would say the deck was a power level 5, him as commander takes it to 7 without a doubt.
