The idea is to play some tax and Hatebear effect. Get the largest board thanks to all my anthems. Then play an Armageddon effect to win the game.

This is the deck I believe I have put the most time and effort in trying to get my curve optimal, get effects that are relevant, and create a powerful but interactive gaming experience. If you have any suggestions I would love to talk to you about it. Started working on a Primer when I get time, so there is quite a bit of missing information which I hope to get to.

*Please note I don't play infinite combos, I tend to like mid-range/control strategies, and I love interacting with my opponent. Even if in this deck means they no longer get to interact with me.

Card Choices

Creatures Show

• Boreas Charger - One of the few ways White gets to ramp. The fact it's a "Leaves the Battlefield" trigger as opposed to a dies trigger is worth noting, as running Rest in Peace and it's ilk don't shut this effect off. It also can be blinked with Eldrazi Displacer and Flickerwisp to catch up on land drops and maybe fill up your hand in a tough spot.

• Bygone Bishop - One of the best card draw engines in the deck. It can be costly at times but it's what you get in White. Triggers off my commander which is nice.

• Archangel of Tithes - Basic Ghostly Prison creature that works on offense or defense, depending what I need. Adds quite a bit of devotion for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx.

• Baird, Steward of Argive - Basic Ghostly Prison style effect. Since I already am taxing their spells, getting to tax their attack phase as well synergies pretty well. The vigilance allows me to get in chip damage every once in a while, and stays back to block.

• Chancellor of the Annex - Probably the best tax effect on a creature in my deck. Combined with a couple other effects this what will lock out a table in a hurry.

• Glowrider

• Spelltithe Enforcer

• Thalia, Guardian of Thraben

• Vryn Wingmare

Anthem effects

Show

• Angel of Jubilation - A flying Anthem that stops fetchlands, Birthing Pod/Prime Speaker Vannifar, Phyrexian Mana, and some other random effects. The fact that it pumps up colorless tokens too is nice, but I currently I do not produce any. Angel also produces quite a bit of white devotion for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx as well.

• Benalish Marshal - The most efficient anthem effect on a creature. Can be returned with Sun Titan, gives me Devotion for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and rewards me for playing mono-white. Part of my Anthem package to win a long game with Brimaz.

• Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite

• Alms Collector

• Containment Priest - Decent hatebear for graveyard decks. Combines with flicker effects like Eldrazi Displacer to permanently exile creatures from the board. Flash allows you to hold up other interaction and removal, or protect it so it doesn't see a Wrath effect on someone else's turn.
