rewriting parts of this due to upgrades

After playing Yidris, Maelstrom Weilder competitively 1v1 then losing in a 3 player cEDH event (due to my ignorance to wanting to win with Aetherflux Reservoir), I wanted to create a combo heavy deck that will kill the table at any given time. Breya, Etherium Shaper has proven to be a worthy and consistent cEDH general.

DOOMSDAY DOOMSDAY DOOMSDAY

The deck contains four combos that end the game quickly. Preferably, I tend to lean towards ending it with Breya at the helm, which three combos lead to that win condition, but there are some back up plans.

Breya + Sac/2 colorless + Nim Deathmantle: The bread and butter. This combo works when you have Ashnod's Altar, Krark-Clan Ironworks, Grand Architect or Eldrazi Displacer on the field alongside Breya and Nim (although some combo lines may not need certain pieces). Altar and Ironworks has you sac Breya and a Thopter, Nim triggers and you repeat the process for infinite Thopters which you then kill the table. GA works when you tap Breya and Thopters, sac Breya and a Thopter, bolt, then with the 4 floaters Nim. Rinse and repeat.

Worldgorger Dragon + Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead: Combo needs permanents that tap for your colours, which is why there are a lot of signets, and when we get hit for 2 on a shockland the mana carries over activating a signet and you go infinite. Bin Worldgorger Dragon and with another creature in the graveyard and then you infinitely cast Breya and kill. Reckless Fireweaver is also great on field with some artifacts as you will be able to Worldgorger infinitely and end the game that way.

Budget Bomberman: As I do not own LED the best way to achieve this is infinite mana through Pili-Pala and Grand Architect or Worldgorger and Auriok Salvagers in play, and infinitely play, shock and return to hand Pyrite Spellbomb. This probably isn't the most ideal use of the combo without LED but it gets the job done albeit you have to work harder.

Doomsday: Probably my second go to combo. Piles vary but typically look like;

Draw in hand

  1. Thought Scour
  2. Worldgorger Dragon
  3. Creature
  4. Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead
  5. ?
  6. Profit

Basically sets you up for Worldgorger combo.

Ashnod's Altar + Breya, Etherium Shaper + Nim Deathmantle or Breya, Etherium Shaper + Grand Architect + Nim Deathmantle or Breya, Etherium Shaper + Krark-Clan Ironworks + Nim Deathmantle or Breya, Etherium Shaper + Eldrazi Displacer + Grand Architect or Ashnod's Altar + Breya, Etherium Shaper + Eldrazi Displacer or Breya, Etherium Shaper + Eldrazi Displacer + Krark-Clan Ironworks : Get Breya onto the field, tap/sac her (always end in a sac, however) and kill the table.

Animate Dead + Worldgorger Dragon : Entomb Gorger, or even Buried Alive with other creatures, typically I choose Grand Abolisher and Reckless Fireweaver. Lands that tap for any color and doest hurt you, or mana rocks and you're good. With Fireweaver on the field and at least on artifact, you can just Entomb Gorger and Animate it and win on the spot.

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala : Create infinite colored mana, cast Breya or try the Bomberman combo, usually the former since its in available.

Demonic Consultation + Laboratory Maniac or Laboratory Maniac + Tainted Pact : Exile your library. Draw, win.

Bomberman: Until LED is purchased and sleeved up, I have to make due. Auriok Salvagers + Pyrite Spellbomb are able to work together with infinite mana, as long as W is also infinite. I won't say this is a bad combo, but I think I favor the other combos over this one.

Dramatic Reversal: Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter with mana rocks, infinite mana to end the game with Breya.

My second go to combo of this deck. There are a couple of piles that end the game quickly, I prefer to Gorge out but sometimes it's not possible. GY hate exists.

With draw spell in hand, pile for Gorger is;

  1. Thought Scour
  2. Worldgorger Dragon
  3. Another Creature
  4. Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead
  5. Depends on hand but usually Pact of Negation
Thought Scour self, bin Gorger and creature into gy, Animate Dead. Gorger listed above with the appropriate lands and rocks.

The second go to Doomsday pile with GY hate is;

  1. Frantic Search
  2. Laboratory Maniac
  3. Thought Scour
  4. Anything
  5. Anything
Basically draw and win.

Reckless Fireweaver: Weaver is great here here since it interacts with the whole entire deck. Gorge combo with this on the field, or in the graveyard is great.

Grand Abolisher: Prevents interruption on your turn, also a really good target for Buried Alive and Animate Dead.

Chromatic Lantern: A weird choice in a competitive deck, but over Mox and when you Gorge out, its another rock, also turns your lands that are suboptimal (basics, reef, etc.) into actual useful lands.

ABU Lands: Better than shocks in this deck, for obvious reasons.

More Fetches: Comes with the package of ABU Lands.

More Moxes: Specifically, Mox Opal.

Lion's Eye Diamond: Making Bomberman much better.

Force of Will: I prefer Pact over Force only to protect a Doomsday/Labman instant win.

Thanks again for reading!
