I'm not really sure what Paradox Engine would do in this deck being that it untaps all NON-land permanents.I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem that good to me in here. Convince me I'm wrong. I do love the card lolPlus, he's not running Mana Vault or Mana Crypt which could benefit from the engine.

Also i thought i'd make a side note.If you're considering making any cuts for more combo pieces (aside from Sydri, Galvanic Genius which someone mentioned already) it doesn't seem like Wurmcoil Engine is combo-ing with anything.It's great. I love it. Maybe it helps with the lifelink to get to 51 life for Aetherflux + Sydri? But it doesn't sound like you have a problem with getting to 51 life after reading through all the comments.Just a suggestion :)

Random question, but how do you fair with only 32 lands? my build currently has 36 and I was even hesitant going that low, especially not running green.

I've always gone by the rule of 40 lands to start and take a few away depending on your ramp/mana rocks.

Also, so does Precursor Golem, but that's only if you wanted to swap the Wurmcoil for a 1cmc less creature, but then you may run into someone killing a token, thus killing the original, but, I guess you could always just do whatever combo in response..so..i guess...nevermind? it still works? lol

I wish I could edit my comments lol, but also.. Just keep in mind that the Wurmcoil combo does NOT work with Eldrazi Displacer + ashnod's altar or krark-clan because Wurmcoil has to die, while Displacer won't kill it, it'll flicker it.

However, Myr battlesphere works with both deathmantle & displacer.

So that might be one consideration for running Precursor Golem instead of Wurmcoil engine, since it too would work with both displacer & deathmantle.

Just out of curiosity cause you don't have it listed and idk if I'm thinking about it right, but doesn't infinite colorless+arcum dagsson+Mycosinth lattice+nim death mantle=infinite arcum dagsson ability?

I see where you went with that, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work.

You would use Arcum Dagsson to sac himself then pay 4 to Nim Deathmantle to bring him back, but in order to use his ability again he would have to have haste.

Just because he's an artifact doesn't mean he can tap as soon as he comes out, because he's still a creature. And he would be a creature that just re-entered the battlefield.

Hmmm...would lightning greaves make it work? I have this deck built except my mana base is without mishras workshop. I was thinking to remove bitter ordeal, Sydri, mind slaver, and aetherflux resovoir for metal worker, umbral mantle, lions eye diamond, and auriok salvagers

mph, well..yeah I guess it would work, because the only thing stopping that combo is Arcum not having haste, since You can equip for 9, yeah! Go for it!

I have it built too it's so much fun to play a deck that doesn't have to combo with the same way each game.

I was considering cutting Bitter ordeal too the other day, but i didn't, at least not yet.

Sydri, yes I did cut, Mindslaver no it works with a decent amount of other stuff, i think. And aetherflux reserrvoir I never put in because i have a lot of fetch lands, shock lands and mana crypt and I usually cause the most damage to myself so I would practically never get to 51 life.

But experiment. See what you think works with your build :)

honestly i wouldn't spend the money on mishra's workshop, i mean..that's practically another EDH deck, or TWO depending on how you build it.

That's just me. If you have 1,000$ burning a hole in your pocket then go for it, but I don't think it makes that much of a difference. This deck is already so powerful without it.

No, I wouldn't buy mishras workshop. I have a hard time seeing how the mindslaver combo works when there are multiple people at the table. It's only used to take one persons turn right? Not take everyone's.

Jpegwun & Hockeyguy429 I think you're right and that combo would work, but I try to limit this deck to combos that don't use more than 2-3 cards not counting Breya. I like where you're going with that though!

And I'm honored you guys have this deck built too, it's definitely my favorite child. What kind of results have you had with it and what kind of changes have you made?

Also workshop is entirely unnecessary but I have one so I figured why not.

Flickerwisp would be pretty good to combo with Krark-Clan and Deathmantle, it would also be good for flickering anything with an etb trigger.

But just imagine exiling everyone elses permanents each turn lol, rages would ensue.

Well the Mind slaver doesn't work in anything over 3 people. If youre playing 3 people you can lock one person out then use their turns to try to kill off the last person as quick as possible. that's about it. But you might get hated out because that person wouldn't be getting another turn.

Good point Kai, however..you already run all of those cards ;) so its jut a matter of being aware of the new interaction.

My list was a lot different from yours from the start. I still had nim & ashnods altar, but then slowly added in more combos. Took out diabolic tutor..big mistake in my opinion, and I have 35 lands, which honestly feels like too little sometimes.I won one round last night with saheeli + felidar :)But pretty much 3/8 people at my LGS said that they go after the breya player when they see them at the table, all because of one guy who beat them on turn 2 ONE time rolls eyes

Meanwhile this Selvala deck(karametra in disguise) wrecked all of us in one round with stony silence, aura of silence, etc. I was using dack fayden to pitch my combos, planned to mystical tutor for open the vaults and just win....and then he drops Rest in Peace >.>

I run a different mana base at 32 lands, fetches and shocks, 4 artifact lands, inventors fair and spire of industry. I'll make it on here one day. I am thinking about fitting in a few counter spells just to keep people honest. I don't wanna interact with them, just stop them from merciless evicting my board. p.s. At my LGS turn 1 win thanks to the bomberman LED+Auriok Salvagers. Ancient tomb into mana crypt and mox opal, drop Led so opal got metal craft and cAsted auriok ftw

Have you considered the Saheeli Rai+Liquimetal Coating+Altar of the Brood combo? it essentially does the same thing as Copy Cat but without the Cat

To me that sounds redundant and a waste of a card slot to be honest

Liquimetal coating doesn't combo with anything else or really add value or synergy with the other cards.

Mycosynth lattice would do the same thing and it's already in the deck for obvious reasons :)

where i am they r doing commander tournaments and have released a ban list and sadly sol ring and mishra's workshop r on the ban list so got any recommendations for what i can use to replace them?
