Something that has been in the works for a while. Gonti is a deck where you really want to be channeling the average inner city black man. The gameplan is to play Gonti as many times as possible and hopefully rip something good off the top of something your opponents play. Alternatively we can use our reanimator spells to grab stuff that has already died, or just beat down with our moderately sized creatures. With all that said allow me to go through all the cards and why I think they deserve a spot.

Crack rocks Show

Chrome Mox is further ramp that allows us to get gonti out a turn earleir, on the short list because of its steep cost.

Sol ring is also self explanatory, second best legal rock in EDH.

Ashnod's altar works double duty as it adds a lot of mana from the cards we steal from others, pays for them very well, put's gonti in the bin, and it works as an infinite combo piece to mikaeus, the unhallowed and puppeteer clique.

Dark Ritual, After Mana crypt and Sol ring, being able to dark rit into gonti turn 2 is very strong.

Gauntlet of power, Mana doubler that helps us play our spells, on the short list cause it feels underwhelming at times.

Caged Sun, another Mana Doubler, unlike gauntlet it isn't symmetrical and it doesn't make urborg worse. I just wish i could play two of these

Burnished hart, another card im unsure of. Given our litany of reanimator spells it would appear that burished hart might be a good inclusion, but feedback would be nice

Cabal coffers, Nykthos, Vesuva, and thespians' Stage all serve the same purpose, to make lots of mana so we can cast other people's spells and gonti many times. It helps that both stage and vesuva can works as other lands too if they need to.

Ancient tomb, Myriad landscape, and temple of the false god. Not a fan of the latter two but extra mana is extra mana, even if slow.

Thought vessel. Not sure that i like it, didnt like it in earlier builds but this deck cares more about reanimating the commadner repeatedly then anything else soo. (moved to maybe board to go down to 100 cards)

Crypt ghast proveds even more mana and can give me lifegain, always in favor. Its also fodder for a variety of things.

Fried Chicken. Show

Since the deck's main focus is using Gonti's ability a billion times, lets go over some of the choices here.

Phyrexian Reclamation Oh yes, Lets uhh, always be able to fetch gonti. That seems fair. Joking aside, in practice i havent gotten much use out of this, i'm sure that its great but its on the short list given that i cant seem to make it work.

Reanimate. This is basically a monoblack flicker deck. Please, if you think reanimate is outclassed by something let me know and ill run both.

Undying Evil, A bit of a tougher sell. Given that it lets me sidisi with undying to get two tutors, or double up on any of my sacrifice triggers it definitely deserves its place.

Exhume, While not the greatest of reanimator spells, considering the symmetrical effect, It certainly makes up for it by not targeting and being only 2 mana. Definitely a win in my book.

Strionic Resonator. Oh yes, copy all the triggered abilities. Give me all of your cards.

Diabolic intent, Functions as a way to get gonti in the yard and as a tutor, synergies well with undying evil.

Wake the Dead. Yes, i would like to not only get all my etb triggers when you try to attack me, but you're also going to lose your entire board.

Nim Deathmantle, functions as a way to get back gonti for more triggers and more thieving. Like the Jew that he is.

Animate dead, Second best reanimator spell behind reanimate. I see no reason not to run this.

Necromancy, Say do you like reanimator spells? What about instant speed reanimator spells, Instant speed reanimator spells that can hit anything? Synergizes with undying. All of those are yes? Well necromancy is your guy. Third best reanimator spell. instant speed is very strong.

Mimic Vat, Most risky card in here, i'm super afraid that Ill play this with gonti under it have mimic vat die, and lose gonti forever. But aside from that great card. Works well with everything else and steals some more shit. the world will be mine.

Skull collector In here for basically the same reason as reclamtion. Seems kind of meh.(moved to maybe board because its meh)

Victimize. If this was 1 more mana i wouldnt play it. often times its dead in hand since the only creature in my yard is gonti. Still great card.Footsteps of the goryo, Scraping the bottom of the barrel. in here as a stand in for revenge, just can't find one yet.

Dread return, REanimator with flashback that can occasionally be relevant. Seems alright.

Makeshift mannnequin, I'd be lying if i said i didnt like this card. REally like instant speed reanimator spells.

Panharminicon. if youre main draw is etb effects. Then you should be running this.

Chainer, Dementia master, A thousand times yes, not only do i get to recur gonti, but i also get ot steal other peoples shit too. At instant speed... Really good.

Conjurer's closet, Basically a narrower panharmonicon, But it still works wonders. Also synergizes with panharminicon.

Lifeline- I've yet to have this backfire on me. By far my favorite card in the deck. Nothing every stays dead. Ever. Greatest thing i have ever seen.

Beacon of unrest, 5 mana is eh but it can grab fallen artifacts which is relevant.

Infernal offering. Don't like that it is symmetrical. Wish i could just do that. (moved to maybeboard to bring down to 100 cards)

Mikaeus, The unhallowed All your stuff has undying? that's fine by me. ill just trigger gonti 3 more times.

Solemn simulacrum- Needs no intorduction.

Government Welfare Show

Clearly every single commander deck needs a series of draw engines. and since were here we might as well go for tutor spells as well.

Skullclamp. In every deck I've ever played , skullclamp is at its worst here. It's just that at it's worst it is still one of the best card in the deck. It's really hard for skullclamp to be bad.

Sensei's divining top, Commander staple, hard to pass up

Vampiric tutor. Second best tutor spell in mtg, gladly will play.

Entomb Third best tutor in this strategy.

Diabolic intent, Behind entomb in this strategy if only when i have little to do.

Demonic tutor. Best tutor hands down. I will fight you on this.

Dark petition. Demoic tutor light. Always happy to go this into necropotence

Increasing ambition. Easily the worst tutor in the deck. Flashback is the only reason i consider it. given the large quantity of mana that i can play.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier. ETB tutors that puts gonti in the yard, uhh how about yes.

Runescarred demon, about as good as sidisi, helps that i can reanimate it and leave a body on the board.

Disciple of bolas. Havent decided if hes actualy good or not yet. Needs more testing. Drawing 2 cards and 2 life off of gonti seems boring.

phyrexian arena, boring draw, but really good no explanation should be neccessary.

Necropoence. Best black draw spell period. I will fight you on this.

Reassembling skeleton, synergizes with a lot of things but here mostly because skullclamp

Bitterblossom. Creates lots of flying blockers, aside from that its just another copy of reassembling skeleton.

Desert Eagles Show

Because people cant let me have their nice things and want me dead, you kind of have to run removal ot protect yourself. stand your ground laws and all that.

Toxic deluge- Best sweeper in the game, if not then black. Really hard to get around this card.

Black sun's zenith, basically toxic deluge but requires me to have a bigger boardstate for it to work.

Malicious affliction- 2 for oning someone is too good to pass up.

heroes downfall. Planeswalkers are hard for me to deal with. That's why i pack this.

Shriekmaw, this+ undying= mayhem. Kind of limited though, only in here because evoke.

Silence the believers. Oh how many targets is that? 11? Okay i scoop. (cut to bring deck down to 100 cards)

snuff out, HAH surprise i can still kill oyur shit while i have snuff out.

Go for the throat. Probably running too muhc spot removal, but problem creatures are problem creatures.

Ugin, the spirit dragon. There are very few occasions i can burn them.

Decree of pain, Cycles draws you a bunch of cards, wipes the board and put gonti in the bin, what more could it do.

All is dust, Also works with his enchantments.

Demon of dark shcemes is really really good, wipse out tokens weak creautres and allows you to steal them.

KArn liberated. the one way this deck kills artifacts.

Garbage strewn about the lawn. Show

The rest of this stuff doenst really belong with anything else

Puppeteer clique is there as a way to rise of the dark realms. with mikeaues of course. infinite mana with ashnods altar.

Wurmcoil engine. Good creature, good to anumate good to sac.

Ink eyes, servant of oni, ere i want to steal some more shit.

abhorrent overlord. ALL THE HARPIES.

Lord of the void, Hey look the fatties deck just gave me void winnower!

Umezawa's Jitte. Best equipment. Might be out of place.

Exsanguinate. Possible win con, havent cast it yet.

Bojuka bog, You cant always steal all the things.

Urborg tomb of yawgmoth, Makes gauntlet worse but makes my ;ands tap for color
