Description

Geist of Saint Traft & Ethereal Armor !!!!!!!!!!!
Please playtest and tell me if it had trouble against your deck! +1's are awesome. Almost as awesome as Big League Chew, but not quite.

Creatures
4x Avacyn's Pilgrim - Speed things up in this aggro meta.

4x Geist of Saint Traft - One of the best cards in standard with no more Image. Pump him and get through for major damage.

4x Invisible Stalker - A second option to GoST. Hexproof and unblockable. Just pump and swing.

2x Knight of Glory - Pro-black doesn't hurt right now and exalted on GoST works for me.

Enchantments
4x Abundant Growth - Mana fixing lets me get away with 21 lands and pumps Armor.

3x Detention Sphere - They wipe up tokens, take care of mutiple zombies, and just any pesky permanent.

4x Ethereal Armor - HOLY CHRIST!

1x Oblivion Ring - Answer to D-Sphere.

4x Rancor - Aggro staple.

4x Spectral Flight - Back in. Evasion on GoST.

Instants
4x Azorius Charm - So versatile. Cantrip, lifelink, or Time Walk them.

Planeswalkers
1x Ajani, Caller of the Pride - A 1-of that can situational win the game.

Your enchantments lose to board wipes Supreme Verdict , Terminus , Cyclonic Rift , etc...

So you mana ramp with card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, but your largest creature is only 3 CMC?!?!?

Even the best decks are vulnerable to board wipes, even Control since Supreme Verdict can't be countered. It's something you just have to live with.

Also, being able to lay down a turn 2 Geist of Saint Traft puts your opponent on a very fast clock, unless they're able to pull off a miracle Terminus on their next turn.

Yes on the turn 2 GoST. Nevermore helps with Verdict and Terminus.

Sphere of Safety with this many enchantments is pretty boss... literally stops almost everything in their tracks. Even post board wipe if you have an o-ring or abundant growths out... and then this. And they stack!

It seemed to slow right now. I had in before but with r/b aggro I can't wait that long.

true... 5mana in aggro hurts usually. If you can top deck it around turn 5-6 it works well, but early on its a dead card I guess.

Have you tried silver-blade paladin? Dbl-strike + rancor is just devastating. And then add some ethereal/spectral madness... i've won games by just eating dmg, eating dmg, pump one guy with rancor and then a spectral or ethereal and dropping silverblade for a 15-20+ dmg swing for game quite often.

You really should be using Fencing Ace . Sure, he's pretty wide-open to removal, but if he lives that first turn he's out, he gets Rancor and Spectral Flight and it's game over on turn 4.

I myself love running bant aggro auras. I would recommend using Rootborn Defenses to stop Supreme Verdict . You can also run Sigarda, Host of Herons to help with anti-removal. Though she's a bit more mid-range if you end up running Detention Sphere , Supreme Verdict , and/or Terminus yourself. Blind Obedience is a nice 2 drop, adds to Ethereal Armor if you get out multiple you can start extorting, and works as an Imposing Sovereign except harder to remove and pumps your auras. Also Witchstalker . Fiendslayer Paladin , Soulmender Unflinching Courage can do well with Archangel of Thune you can add Indestructibility to Archangel. Strionic Resonator can double D-sphere to take care of 2 things at once, or it can copy Archangels counters to add 2. That and i'm not sure yet but Phantom Warrior Gladecover Scout and Divine Favor for pumping and Archangel triggering.Blessing costs 2 but can be pumped on top of pumping E-Armor. Elvish Mystic and Avacyn's Pilgrim depending on which color mana you need more of. Also consider Soul Tithe force your opponent to sacrifice a permanent unless they pay it's CMC every turn addding some tempo, also pumps enchants, and can take care of pesky creatures.Hope this helps!
