I took the shell of my Selesnya Aggro deck (.:$:. Young Fleece Mane .:$:.) and splashed some blue for Detention Sphere, Rapid Hybridization, and Ephara, God of the Polis. I was getting a little tired of playing the same old G/W deck that everyone knows. Soon, many changes were made to make the deck more synergistic.

I got some inspiration from Ryan Hipp's SCG Nashville deck (28th place), bant aggro by ryan hipp.

Precinct Captain and Brimaz, King of Oreskos are here to flood the board with tokens and trigger Ephara, God of the Polis. Brave the Elements is another important card in the deck, allowing for protection from spot removal, mass red removal (Anger of the Gods, Mizzium Mortars), or an unblockable alpha strike. Ajani, Caller of the Pride can come down on turn three to pump an early creature over a Sylvan Caryatid. Ajani's ultimate is never hard to achieve if I get a good early start with Brimaz, King of Oreskos and his vigilant cat blockers. Detention Sphere is one of the best removal spells in standard, taking care of Pack Rat and most other permanent threats. Rapid Hybridization is solid removal for otherwise troublesome creatures (Stormbreath Dragon and Blood Baron of Vizkopa). Rapid Hybridization is never a dead card in the mainboard: In a tight situation, I can destroy a Voice of Resurgence for an elemental token and a 3/3 at instant speed for 1 mana. A friend of mine suggested the addition of Negate to the sideboard, which is a great answer to planeswalkers, removal spells, and Sphinx's Revelation. The sideboard is constantly evolving around what I expect to be popular at FNM. At the moment Phyrexian Revoker is my way of shutting down Elvish Mystic, Sylvan Caryatid, and Planeswalkers in Mono Green and Jund Walkers strategies.

I have done fairly well at FNM with several 3-1 records and two 4-0's.
