My take on a typical, budget friendly Brago deck.

The deck runs a very low CMC base, and there's a lot of cards that repeat effects (especially card draw, return to hand, or ramp), because no harm in having multiples of cards for maximum value.

Now a lot of people will be surprised that I have included a copy of Fall of the Thran in the deck. This card is there because I have discovered it is a huge counter to a lot of commander decks, particularly those that either rely on combos (Inalla, name-a-spellslinger-commander), or higher CMC commanders, such as Zurgo, Ur Dragon or Zacama.

The timing of the cast for Fall of the Thran is essential. Ideally it should be cast while Brago is on the field, as well as Sun Titan and a lot of the other value cards, such as Pilgrims Eye, Ghirapur Orrery, and things like AEther Adept or Exclusion Mage. Of course playing such a card is highly risky, however the pay offs if it works are spectacular. Plus the look on most people's faces when you even play a card such as Fall of the Thran is priceless.
