B/R Vampires

need some removal. Doom Blade & Go for the Throat are great. Id even drop the tutors and 2 Tribute to Hunger for them.

oh, also: swap Gut Shot for Shock just as cheap, more damage. but that's just me.

Shock is a no go. Like he said standard, I like gut shot cause of the Phyrexian mana cost. But I think that one of the 1B creature removals might be better. I haven't play tested it yet and will have to see.

zombiezilla because....Shock is in core 2012 as well? the art that the site has shows 10th, but im sitting here looking at an m12 shock. My deck runs them as well and its still standard deck:another-innistrad-vampire-deck-1

but anyway, the phyrexian mana is ok, but is it worth paying 2 life for one damage?

nsmh11 whats your take on the blood lord? like him or loose him?

Also shock vs gut shot? Being able to cast that one point of damage when I'm supposedly tapped out I think might be more versatile than the two points. I'll have to see.

Shock. Life tends to be valuable, and if you're tapped out? oh well. next turn. you're creatures arent expensive, which is good. and i dont like blood lord because he costs 5. I ditched him and fakenrath in mine.

Updated this after playing some FNM. Gut shot wasn't worth it like you said. I traded it out for the shock and the Tributes for Incinerate.And I agree about the blood lord I swapped them out for vamp interlopers. I kept getting owned by artifacts so added some shatters as well.

Where's your Stromkirk Captainand Vampiric Fury Some insane cards for early damage. Vampires are a race deck. They can hold out against control, especially with your removal, and you have some decent bombs, but if you need to swing big and all your creatures are small vs control's bombs you may want to give all your vamps +2/+0 and first strike with Vampiric Fury

Also, in your sideboard you're going to want cards to beat decks with card advantage. Only way to keep up and ESPECIALLY with vamps is Tezzeret's Gambit Draw two cards and add counters to all your vampires? Can't go wrong.
