This Bosh, Iron Golem deck is geared around some of the older abilities of artifacts from long ago, with a nice splash of Kaladesh flavor. I primarily focus on disrupting opposition to give Bosh time to be set up. This is due to the high mana cost of casting him and use of the ability is very hard without support. While throwing artifacts is fun I have included what I call a 'augmentation' package. This includes equipment that vastly changes how Bosh impacts the table. They are: Batterskull life gain voltron, Kusari-Gama combat disruption, Sword of Kaldra remove anything and Scythe of the Wretched steal. Swap these out in any way you see fit in each match. Anyway this deck can fight the phyrexian menace or anything else with tons of accumulated value and disruption. In addition to building tempo with one sided board wipes.

Cool interactions Show

• Chandra's Ignition + Mirrorpool + Colossus of Akros: By far one of my favorite win conditions, and very hard to stop as indestructible creatures and lands are hard to mess with. Anyway when Colossus is monster-ed and is 20/20 Cast Ignition and before it resolves copy the spell (same target). This requires 8 mana but that should not be a problem. If it resolves all other players and all other creatures will take 40 dmg killing all unless they have gained life.

• Sequestered Stash + Crucible of Worlds + Codex Shredder: While this does not win outright its by far the best engine to bring stuff back no matter what it is and is hard to disrupt. Also ditches cards are at a rate of 6 per turn and is in a way card advantage as codex turns the entire graveyard into a resource.

• Bosh, Iron Golem + Myr Battlesphere + Nim Deathmantle + Clock of Omens + Mirrorworks + Gilded Lotus: This while it requires a lot of cards to pull off, is one of the best insta win combos available to this bosh list. It goes infinite targeted creature and player damage additionally goes infinite in 1/1 myr.

Niche Rulings and interactions Show

• Batterskull: I added because nearly all damage the deck does is through bosh, so equipping Batterskull to bosh is very helpful. But something that not many people know is that Bosh can sac himself with Batterskull equipped to him and because Bosh is doing the damage himself the game checks the last known status of Bosh before doing the damage. This results in Bosh having lifelink triggered due to his last checked state being Bosh equipped with Batterskull. I know this may be obvious to some, but in many games I've played people have said that's not how it works so I asked a Judge to confirm. My question: "If Bosh, Iron Golem has Batterskull equipped and you use Bosh's ability to sac himself, does the lifelink work? The judge responded with: "If you sac Bosh to Bosh's ability, yes it will see that it had lifelink when it was last 'on the field' and you gain 8 life in addition along with the damage it deals."
• Kusari-Gama: Now unlike Batterskull Kusari-Gama does not work with this. Reason for this is Kusari-Gama has a check "Whenever equipped creature deals damage to a blocking creature" Resulting in Bosh having to acually be equipped at the time damage is dealt, but because the damage is dealt after the sacrificing of Bosh Kusari-Gama says no.
• [12:52] Me: Hello I'm back with another crazy idea: again 4 player cmdr game. I have Precursor Golem and both of the tokens it created I attach Blade of Selves to the Precursor I attack creating copies of the Precursor. Now first question: do the tokens that are created via the ETB trigger of copies attack? Also I then cast Chandra's Ignition on a golem this is copied 3x times for each golem correct? Then would they need indestructibly for all copies to go off? Doing in total 81 dmg [12:53] Judge2: The token copies created by the ETB triggers don't attack. Nothing is telling them that they would attack, so they don't. • Judge: It's dealt simultaneously when the ability resolves. S|nApSE What scenario do you find yourself in? Me: Yea that's what I thought id be hitting it with Bosh the iron golem Me: Was wondering if I could survive and gain life to counteract the lost life but yea that's what I feared. Judge: Uh. Judge: Lifelink will apply at the same time as the damage dealt. Me: So if I was to take a lethal amount from arcbond would the lifegain negate it? Judge: Well, you'd be taking the damage from the creature but yes, it would effectively be negated by lifelink on that creature. Me: and then some from the dmg from other players

Sideboard Breakdown Show

Remember this deck can be changed in a big way post sideboard! This is what I recommend:

• Aftershock / Chaos Warp are to be added in matches where finding a answer is a higher priority then building advantage. Combo decks and the such are a big problem for Bosh.
• Arcbond I'm going to be honest it's not that great its just too much fun for me to take out.
• Glaring Spotlight helps hate hexproof strats and can net a surprise kill from time to time usually Arcane Lighthouse is better but redundancy is nice.
• Hellkite Tyrant if you are not the only person playing artifacts this card is fantastic. However its been sideboard due to match ups that don't run enough artifacts to really get value out of this beast of a card. -
• Aladdin Really good vs steal decks and other artifact decks. Fun inclusion!
• Scythe of the Wretched Adds silly value to removing things with Bosh problem is setting him up without being counter removed. But very good.
• Kusari-Gama A way for Bosh to handle token decks and disrupt combat. Although its not great when on the defensive. However when it comes to 'win more' cards this is very hard to beat.

Cool things that did not make the cut Show

• Ghirapur Orrery + Bottled Cloister: Both of these cards help draw cards accumulating value over time but when they are together things get interesting. On upkeep (your hand is exiled from Bottled) Have the Orrery ability check and resolve before Bottled returns your hand. This nets a total of 5 cards drawn per turn including the one you would draw regularly.

• Skullclamp + Trading Post + Paradox Engine + 2-3 mana rocks: This one is by far my favorite, First tap down the mana rocks adding around ~5 mana ideally one should add red. Next use Trading to create a 0/1 goat. Then pay one of the mana from the rocks (do not use land mana) to equip Skullclamp to the goat. This kills the goat drawing 2 cards. If you are in luck one of the drawn cards will not be a land. Cast that card with the mana from the previously tapped out rocks (you should still have a bit of left over floating). Paradox Engine says ok and untaps all the mana rocks. Tap em down and repeat. (use trading post life gain if the goats start hurting you) This lets you hopefully play the entire deck in one turn, and make an ton of mana.

• Any creature with indestructible that has Pariah's Shield equipped when Arcbond cast on it. Any amount of damage (like bosh hitting it) will loop until all opponents of the indestructible creature's controller are dead.

• Nim Deathmantle + Mycosynth Lattice + Unwinding Clock: This gets really funny untapping all the lands and if you have enough of them, keep on returning whatever you want with the nim after sacking it during each players turn.

• Basalt Monolith + Heartstone + Karn, Silver Golem infinite mana

• Basalt Monolith + Mycosynth Lattice + Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient
• Basalt Monolith + Karn, Silver Golem + Illusionist's Bracers
