Gruul Ponza with a twist!

Welcome to your (un)friendly neighborhood Ponza deck! The name of this game is to not allow your opponent to play Magic. That's right, we go after their mana base. How do we do that? Well, with a good olde fashioned Stone Rain or Blood Moon of course!

We typically will lay a dork like Arbor Elf or Birds of Paradise turn 1, if not then a Utopia Sprawl will work just as well. Turn 2 we lay a land and either cast Blood Moon or Stone Rain. The great thing about Stone Rain and what we can follow with Mwonvuli Acid-Moss (which gets us a Forest!), is that we can go after basic lands. So yeah, they play around Moon and we blow up their basics!

After we've ramped and blown up their lands, we may need to clear the board with Anger of the Gods or Bonfire of the Damned. Elves are tricky and those little pointy eared bastards can multiply quickly. We can now lay a threat like Inferno Titan, Stormbreath Dragon, and gain back some life that we surely lost with Thragtusk.

I round out the spell suite with Beast Within and Primal Command because we like utility. Blowing up any permanent is nice, so is gaining life, tucking a permanent, finding a critter, and removing a graveyard.

Our Planeswalkers can help us fill the board with tokens to put the beats on our opponent and offer other much needed utility. For now, I have different iterations of Garruk in here until I can pick up Chandra, the Mindsculptor.

I'm testing Goblin Dark-Dwellers , who is able to 'flashback' Anger of the Gods, Beast Within, and Stone Rain. That's some great value right there! I think that Rishkar's Expertise may also hold some merit in this deck by it's one in the side for the time being.

Hopefully that's a decent BOOM, POW, SMASH mini-primer!
