Blue/White/Black - Alt-Win Weirdness: This deck centers around staying alive long enough to play one of the multiple alt win con cards. The deck started out as a Rainbow (5 color) commander with every alt-win-con card I could find crammed in. Then I threw in every a whole slew of man land and other weird non-basic lands, take an extra turn cards and mindslave style cards as well. When I looked over the deck, it completely lacked any focus. Without any synergy between cards and the 5 color mana requirements I just didn't see any way to actually win.

After pairing down the alt win to just blue/white/black I started gain more synergy between cards. So the end game here is to either gain life for a win ( Aetherflux Reservoir/ Felidar Sovereign) lose life for a win (Near-Death Experience), or add counters for a win (Darksteel Reactor). Every other card, including creatures, is to facilitate one of these goals. I added black for its tutoring and removal, added creatures with abilities that cripple opponents, and added a ton of creature board wipes. On top of all that most counter spells are duel use, either allowing me to draw a card or preform some other function to further my alt-win-con goals.

I chose Sen Triplets for a couple reasons. I needed a powerful blue/black/white commander and they seemed like the best. The second reason is they cripple one opponent and give me access to their hand. Anything to buy me time.

On top of all of this is counter bumps ( Inexorable Tide, Contagion Engine) that work on multiple levels. For example, Darksteel Reactor is an alt-win-con but the counter bumps will still work with Gemstone, Magistrate's Scepter, As For Told, and as an addition to Contagion Engines -1 -1 counters. The Creatures is this deck only real function is there abilities. Can't lose with Platinum Angel and Platinum Emperion etc. Top that off with Creature/Spell control with Iona, Gods Head, and Grand Abolisher and a host of other abilities should help me get closer to the main goal, Alt-Win!

Let me know what you all think. I am 100% open to suggestions and criticism.
