Here's a deck I've been working on that uses Venser, the Sojourner to exploit various enter the battlefield effects.

Don't be afraid to let off a Journey to Nowhere in the early game. Because usually, a venser will eventually pop up, allowing you to change the targets (using his +2).

Acidic Slime, Frost Titan and Spine of Ish Sah are all the big targets that absolutely love being hit by venser's +2.

Sometimes, you will also see Garruk Wildspeaker or Jace Beleren appear. Jace can net you extra cards, and can be refilled using Venser. Garruk can provide you with ramp, or just pump up your critters. 7/7 trample (sometimes unblockable) Celestial Colonnade anyone?
