Blue Black Favorable Winds Tempo

Standard* Competitive Faeries Tempo Tribal UB (Dimir)

Sideboard

Instant (6)

Sorcery (2)

Blue with a splash of black deck based around evasive flyers putting your opponent on a clock whilst disrupting your opponents game plan. Plays like an aggro-control deck which has a lot of ways of gaining tempo and is good at keeping it once it has it.

The synergies in the deck are aided by the card draw from Curious Obsession. Siren Stormtamer, Spell Piece, Kitesail Freebooter and Lookouts Dispersal all help protect the flying creature holding the enchantment. It also makes the creature bigger which speeds up your clock and makes the creature harder to remove. Your opponent needs to deal with this or they will fall behind very quickly. Even if you only hit your opponent once, it still draws you a card which basically replaces the card loss if you do lose it next turn.

Because everything has flying, you don't need to commit much to the board to put your opponent on a clock. As a result it's very difficult to get any value against this deck with sweepers or big powerful cards, especially as this deck has counterspells and unsummon effects. The deck really rewards knowledge of the matchup and reading when and where it's safe to commit.

It's also worth remembering that Siren Stormtamer can counter Settle the Wreckage for a single blue mana. Even good players get blown out by that.
