The primary aim of the deck is build up creatures and overwhelm the opponent. Sifter of Skulls allows your Blisterpods and Carrier Thralls to multiply on death. Smothering Abomination provides a sac outlet with card draw, which when combined with Catacomb Sifter allow you to draw the cards you need.

Eyeless Watcher provides 3 creatures and ideal fodder for It of the Horrid Swarm or Abundant Maw . Swarm Surge is one finisher. Another could be Breaker of Armies to force all of an opponent's creatures to block it, while you swing with a beefed up Rot Shambler etc. An additional wincon is via life drain from Zulaport Cutthroat potentially assisted by Qarsi Sadist s.

If you take out the Ruinous Paths this deck comes out at under $1 on mtgo
