An otherwise Mono-Black Vampire Tribal with a "Blood Brothers" approach (Gifted Aetherborn & Vampire Nighthawk..) with a tactical splashing of Red for Terminate & Stromkirk Captain, while still enabling reliable, consistant value out of Vampire Nocturnus & Lashwrithe ..

Simple Breakdown Show

General Strategy:

The first 1-3 turns of the game would normally be spent playing disruption (Thoughtseize, Fatal Push, Terminate, Liliana of the Veil), then come the base threats (Bloodghast, Gifted Aetherborn, Gatekeeper of Malakir, Vampire Nighthawk) to apply pressure. Finally comes the Tribal shenanigans (Stromkirk Captain & Vampire Nocturnus) and the raw power of Lashwrithe to overtake the enemy..

Thoughtseize: staple; the gold-standard to which all other forms of Hand Disruption are judged against..

Fatal Push: An "Instant" staple.. (See what I did there)

Terminate: The gold-standard of unconditional, targeted creature destruction..

Liliana of the Veil: Another absolutely brutal staple.. Plus, she's plays nice with a few other cards in here...

Base threats.. Show

Bloodghast: The annoying little pecker that just won't stay away! Added value by pitching to LotV's +1, and the liberal amounts of Fetchlands..

Gifted Aetherborn: An uncommon 2-drop that brings goyfs, and virtually anything else on the ground to a screeching halt.. Demanding the opponent to make a trade at a minimum to get rid of it..

Gatekeeper of Malakir: An old staple of Mono-Black Control & Vampires for a reason.. (Always pay the kicker)..

Vampire Nighthawk: Hard to go wrong with 3 absurdly powerful keywords on a decent body, for only 3-CMC.. Tribal shenanigans is what puts this over the top.. #Value..

Tribal Lords Show

Stromkirk Captain: More-or-less doubles the threat level of any other Vampire I control, and puts my Deathtouching "Blood Brothers" out of Bolt-range..

Vampire Nocturnus: Top-decking this while staring down a gummed up battlefield can be effectively game-ending..

Other Spells.. Show

Bump in the Night : The Lava Spike w/ Flashback.. Why? Because while I would have put Lightning Bolt in here, I chose this instead for it's synergy with Liliana of the Veil & Vampire Nocturnus..

Phyrexian Arena: Because Card Draw.. (May become Read the Bones?)

Lashwrithe: When you combine any of the above Creature shenanigans with one of these bad boys, what you have yourself is a big, scary, game ending juggernaut..
