Directive: Spawn as many Zombies as possible using Army of the Damned + Endless Ranks of the Dead and protect them from countering with Cavern of Souls. Boost up life with Army of the Damned + Endless Ranks of the Dead + Gray Merchant of Asphodel .

There are a few cards I am debating with that boost up the zombie tokens and give them all Flying, Deathtouch, and Lifelink (Diregraf Captain + Whip of Erebos + Wonder or Diregraf Captain + Levitation + Whip of Erebos and a few that give more Zombies (Grave Titan + Overseer of the Damned + Waste Not and Siren of the Silent Song + Waste Not ) and two that are the "giants" of the deck (Army of the Damned + Endless Ranks of the Dead + Soulless One and Army of the Damned + Endless Ranks of the Dead + Unbreathing Horde .

The real kicker of this deck however is the Army of the Damned + Endless Ranks of the Dead + Shepherd of Rot . You really don't need much else if you can get these three out and if you can use Cavern of Souls and Counterspell to protect their casting.

Things I'd like to add: searching for a card that better protects my casting than Cavern of Souls (which only stops it from being countered). Counterspell works when I have manna (which I almost always do), but I want to protect the combos that I'm casting. Maybe an artifact? There are a lot of white spells like this, but maybe a blue spell?
