Before you comment on not having any creatures for finishing the game, notice the lands: Celestial Colonnade and Creeping Tar Pit. Consecrated Sphinx + Jace Beleren = Massive Draw. Inquisition of Kozilek + Duress for discard. DOJ for Mass Removal and Go for the Throat and Doom Blade for point removal. Cancel and Mana Leak for counterspell. Wall of Denial for a little survial when the game starts. Ratchet Bomb against Planeswalker or token decks.

Its not a bad concept at all. This is all about controlling your oppenent and beating them with lands. You can't stop the lands lol

I play tested this deck a couple of times and so far I've won by swinging with 2 Creeping Tar Pit and 2 Celestial Colonnade

Yea, the unblockable lands make it pretty easy to win once you eliminated the threat of taking damage from the opponent by using all of your control. You could also use Jace's Ultimate and mill them out if the game is going a bit longer.

That was always there. Save him up and then make them mill. of course by that time, there deck is already half gone

Which makes his mill even more effective lol

Cancel should be Stoic Rebuttal , considering you have enough artifacts, especially after boarding in for Game 2, to possibly have Metalcraft.

bund says... #12

Yea you are right, forgot about Stoic Rebuttal .

Also, you might want to cut the 3 Wall of Frost for either 1 more Wall of Omens and 2 Baneslayer Angel , or if you don't have the Angels, try 2 Sea Gate Oracle . Against an aggro deck, you're going to need that early game defense, or the late game life gain, depending on your budget.

Thought about adding Baneslayer Angel but didn't know what to take out. Thx for the advice.

maybe with the 3 bombs, baby jaces and wall of omens you would want a sun titan or two?

March 10, 2011 1:06 p.m.

bund says... #16

Yea, Sun Titan is a good idea but i don't know what to take out for him. Any advices?

March 10, 2011 1:36 p.m.

You could definitely take out 1 Ratchet Bomb and 1 Go for the Throat for 2 Sun Titan . Considering his recursive ability, you won't necessarily need that 3rd R. Bomb. Also, GftT gets alot worse when against a deck with mostly artifact creatures as their win cons, i.e. a Tezzeret Control-esque deck. Also, it makes sideboarding easier against said control deck when you just swap them out for the 3 Duress in your SB.

Lastly, you may want to consider running some Tectonic Edge s, depending upon what environment you play in, as they're a really good land. Perhaps: -1 Plains , -3 Halimar Depths for 2 Tectonic Edge and 2 Island . You want those early, guaranteed, EtB untapped blue sources to get consistent Mana Leak mana early game. Whereas the only early white card you have is Wall of Omens , and that isn't THAT important; depending on what you're playing against, of course.

I am going to take out 1 Ratchet Bomb and 1 Go for the Throat for the Sun Titan as you suggested and i like Tectonic Edge s but i don't play against many decks with non basic lands, so i don't think i will put them in. I am going to cut out the Halimar Depths for 2 Island and 1 Swamp to make sure i will have the mana for an early Mana Leak or Inquisition of Kozilek .
