The idea behind the deck is actually quite simple.

Main theme: Demons. The goal here is to have almost exclusively demonic creatures, cultist-like figures and sacrifice fodder. Flavor is an important part of this deck, and these 3 creature types lend well to the theme while also providing a lot playability.

Secondary theme: Deal with the devil. I know, were not in rakdos so I cant have actual devils in the deck. But basically, i've trying putting as many mono-black politics, pie-breaking cards, and a lot of symmetrical tutors. Wishclaw Talisman, Abyssal Persecutor, Scheming Symmetry, Darkness, Imp's Mischief, Seizan, Perverter of Truth, Bloodgift Demon, Sign in Blood can all be used to help opponents, but with the condition that they help us greatly in return.

We also have a pretty well stocked sideboard to get our more situational or ''just for laugh'' spells and creatures to fetch with Mastermind's Acquisition. Phyrexian Grimoire follows the ''I help you but you help me'' strategy and helps us recurse Mastermind's Acquisition, provided that an opponent is willing to make a deal.
