Since the rules for the converted mana cost of split cards changed recently, Never//Return is a 7 drop, which lead me to try to make a BG Seasons Past deck. With seasons past having had success in the past I was excited to delve into what possibilities were available, and came up with this tool-boxy grindy deck. Loaded with removal this deck aims to win eventually off of animated Hissing Quagmires, awoken Ruinous Paths, the Ob Nixilis Reignited emblem, one Dark Salvation, and a few efficient creatures.

Kalitas exiles the OPs Scrapheap Scroungers and zombies to stop them from coming back for good. Much of the removal deals with planeswalkers, and after having played at a local LGS, has a very favorable matchup vs mardu vehicles, especially since I saw a lot more planeswalkers crammed in them.

Sideboard: To the Slaughter is the only answer to Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and pharaoh-gods in the mainboard aside from some ridiculous chain of -x/-x spells, and since Aetherworks Marvel seems to have taken off in the pro tour as a tier deck with Ulamog as a payoff I've added a single Bonds of Mortality (with Diabolic Tutors every card we run as a one of is an expensive 3-of if we really need it). Scarab Feast helps vs scroungers, zombies, Torrential Gearhulk, New Perspectives cycling combo, and a few other situations. Dissenter's Deliverance & Appetite for the Unnatural for any artifact decks, with appetite coming in as an answer to enchantments as well. Transgress the Mind & Pick the Brain help clear the way of counterspells before casting seasons, and are good options to replace some removal with if the OP is creature light. A single of each Lost Legacy & Dispossess are there for us to tutor to stop combo pieces and problem cards with. Finally, two Flaying Tendrils for more sweepers (that exile) for the aggro & go wide matchup.
