this deck is old and bad,, i might post an updated list in the future who knows


this is a midrange board control focused deck, its mono black so it likes a lot of mana and it gets it pretty easily, can be pretty slow but with tutors it has answers to most things. i find myself in new weird situations having to find odd answers i hadn't really used before with bizarre card synergy. i'd say that this decks biggest weakness is strong artifacts and enchantments it also can have a rough time against decks with a lot of artifact/enchantment removal

this deck is still a work in progress its been through many edits and i am happy with where it's at right now but always open to suggestions etc

this deck is my absolute favorite of my edh decks ive had it for years and i find it to still be fun no matter how many times i have played it


the concept is simple, attempt to get as much value as humanly possible off of creatures dying. when i first saw endrek i immediately knew i wanted to build an edh deck around him because there are just so many great cards based on creatures dying most of those become busted when you throw in oh i get a shit ton of 1/1s that i need to get rid of //every time you play a creature// endrek + Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, or Butcher of Malakir = scary one sided board wipes often every turn if needed sometimes more than once per turn with the amount of instant speed sacrifice abilities in your deck that can be during opponents turns too :-----) my idea of fun

Conspiracy + Rotlung Reanimator = infinate sac outlets which is nice but you need enough pieces to get it to work that people dont rage because muh infi-combos; to win on the spot you need either Blood Artist or Falkenrath Noble, one of the many free to activate sacrifice outlets in the deck (Bloodflow Connoisseur, Fallen Angel , Flesh-Eater Imp, Phyrexian Plaguelord , Sadistic Hypnotist , Viscera Seer, Fallen Ideal , Ashnod's Altar, or Phyrexian Altar) and any one other creature (tokens work too) obviously this isnt the only way to win with the combo because those sac outlets on their own can swing and win or create infinite mana which can go into an Exsanguinate or a killing swing with Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief or kill a player with Profane Command.

Conspiracy on its own has the handy effect of your thrulls not killing endrek anymore, even if Rotlung Reanimator didnt exist it would still be a decent card. i find that often a late game draw into a tutor can end up winning me a game by grabbing one of the pieces of this combo because i often have other pieces on the board already because there are just so many ways that it can win me the game.

there is a lot more Good Stuff in the decklist but it's all pretty self explanatory


edit: i am testing to see whether the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo feels more helpful or clunky in the deck, Grave Betrayal and Mortician Beetle removed for now... if i feel it isnt what im looking for i'll be thinking about what the best cuts are to add more board wipes, Damnation, Toxic Deluge, Mutilate, or tutors, Vampiric Tutor, Beseech the Queen, Diabolic Revelation, also very interested in wiggling in Ob Nixilis Reignited and maybe Skirsdag High Priest

also thinking about manabase a bit, considering running Command Beacon, Westvale Abbey  , and/or Volrath's Stronghold i want to be sure i have enough basic swamps to nearly always get massive value off of Cabal Coffers without having to rely on always having Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth the more basics i am running the more comfortable i would feel running Mutilate as well

considering the artifact/enchantment weakness sometimes just feels Too Real ive been thinking about trying out Steel Hellkite, Argentum Armor, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Scour from Existence, and/or Spine of Ish Sah (also potentially Oblivion Stone although it is Not my favorite card it always feels disappointing to use because of how clunky and slow it is,, its decent for a wrath but if you want to try and use the fate counters then good luck lmao) its been very difficult to make cuts lately because i just love all the cards in this deck, ive been making choices to cut things that are like black edh Power Cards like Grave Titan because as good as they are at this point i want the deck to have as much synergy as possible.

*i stopped playing edh as much so i havent updated this deck although it is still wipthis is just a note to self to add Zulaport Cutthroat


have revamped this deck a bit made it more streamlined but still multiplayer viable cut some bulk added some more mana ramp and removal runs more like a combo deck now than just an unfocused black goodstuff with combos hidden within, very similar list however, i plan to upload a new version here soon dubbing this the beta.

i plan on building an optimized 1v1 endrek list and a more funstuff multiplayer list at some point but i feel like my new list is the happy medium of the two,, might also end up posting my ""new teysa"" deck which runs similar kinds of cards theres an endrek in the 99 but i think really overall altho less fun for me is a smoother running better deck, mono black's weakness to artifact and enchantment removal really became an issue in my playgroup so it made me build that list which is fun in its own way but not my baby anymore and not at all what i love about edh which is really building around the general,,

like i said i'll probably post the new "finished" i guess list soon but if your lookin to build endrek i hope my list has helped you find some cards or given you ideas for your own builds
