A ton of goblins. FAST
I know this is not the best goblin deck. The name is purely to get your attention.
Please Comment IF YOU LIKE +1 PLEASE!!
two Tuktuk the Explorer max for starters. Ember Hauler drop for siege-gang 2 more Smoldering Spires 1 more teetering peak
teetering peak + kicked bushwhacker with warren out turn 3 is 10 dmg by itself witch on first strike dmg u pull out a chieftain so it makes it 12 dmg if you just have those 2 creatures out second strike dmg you pull out a siege-gang.
searing blaze sucks unless you put in 4 mesa and 4 scalding replace with wither burst or flame slash (wall of omen killer)
drop unstable footing in sideboard for Leyline of punishment, its much better then unstable.
combust is better off being something like pithing needle manabarbs goblin siege-runners so on.
i have a goblin deck that wins turn 3 all the time and i top 8 every week.
Use SGC and Dragon fodder for the tokens until October. You can up the CIPT lands to 6, also Quest for the Goblin Lord is only viable with the token cards because it allows for it to be on board early and can potentially help vs sweepers. With 23 land you can easily play a t5 sgc after a doj to replenish your field if Quest is on that is a creature thats 4/2 then 3 3/1's by then they should be in single digit health range you can swing then sac for win on t6. Drop Staggershocks for Burst Lightning. You may want to try Eldrazi Monument as a one of. Run either Shortcutter or Ember Hauler not both depending on your meta. Grotag is a waste in the SB, use card:Dragon's Claw if there are RDW in your area.
This is a decent Goblin deck (if your sticking to a straight goblin theme) post scars but even if your not big on the Artifact heavy versions their much more viable in a tournament environment espically with todays Meta and Gravity's advice was great lol you seem like the dumbass because it looks like you took some of it. I'm sure he was just trying to help.
By the way not a kid and have placed top 5 in state...
well i dont really like the artifact version because you have to invest too many slots in your dek devoted to one combo with kuldotha rebirth and if u dont get it u just hav a lot of artifacts out. Furthermore my deck has been working for me placing at every fnm and only seeming to lose to venser allies and only once out of like 4 matches to u/w control. Plus i went against an arifact goblin deck and raped it. They did not even place while i took first at that fnm.
Goblin shortcutter is very useful early game and and has good synergy with warren instigator. I hav tried raid bombardment it does not work well since it targets player. Burn spells are better in its place since they clear out creatures so my goblins can attack.
About the raid bombardment, that is about the same conclusion I came to with other red decks regarding it so it doesn't surprise me too much.
One other fun thought I want to run past you is have you tried Basilisk Collar . I imagine it would be awesome on Spikeshot Elder but it would also go great with as both a defender and attacker Warren Instigator and Ember Hauler if the death touch carries over to when he deals the 2 damage, I am not sure though if it counts him as being sacrificed first or not but I think it will carry over since state checks are only done at the beginning of when priority is passed.
Ive though about that but goblin tunneler doesnt work for lots of my creatures when cheftain is out. Also shortcutter works better in that if they hav a huge creature out i can play it and all my gobs can attack while tunneler lets only one of my goblins get a hit with less than 2 power.
IMO the best goblin deck is Metal Red. With the cards from this deck, you could easily make it. And its the only Goblin deck to win in a PTQ or States in a veeery long time lol. And metal red beats this goblin deck speed wise.
Turn 1: Mountain, Memnite. kuldotha rebirth into 3 1/1 goblins. Turn 2: Play Mountain, Goblin Bushwhacker kicked, swing for 8. Turn 3: Play mountain, goblin chieftain, Swing for 10.
Dont think im saying your deck is bad, because its in nooo way not. Goblins are super fun and good :D
First of all I know this isnt the best goblin deck, I only call it that to get people to comment. Furthermore, i just do not like the idea of taking out a lot of goblins for useless artifacts for the sole purpose of fueling the rebirth combo. I have in fact gone against a gob deck like that and i admit it was fast at times but when he did not hav a rebirth in hand he just had a lot of artifacts doing him no good in play while i had all my goblins attacking with a purpose. Thanks for the advice though
Yeah i know what you mean, but that's why i don't use Mox opals in it.. A) I don't want to spend 20 dollars on 3 cards that im only using for the soul purpose to sacrifice B)I use Trusy machetes because they're only a one cost, and you can turn anything into a beast with those. But may i ask why Stagger Shock?
staggershock is one of the best burn spells in standard. I run 2 because they are a bit pricey but it is basically an instant 4 damage to a player, creature, or both. They are also very useful in taking out two critters with one spell which is vital in a goblin deck.
I have liked goblins for a long time. Wanting to play them in the latest Standard I have looked at the fast Kuldotha Rebirth decks.
I totally agree when you say you don't want useless artifacts that do nothing unless you have Kuldotha.
Try play testing a few builds with those in it.
i have a kuldotha rebirth deck on t/o:http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/goblin-rebirth-deck/ I've tried playtesting it and it works very well early game if you get the combo going. Otherwise its not nearly as effective or consistent as this deck. I might try the rebirth deck at fnm just to see how it does though
great build my only comments are spikeshot seems bad without anyway to really beef it up, (but i dont play goblins so im not sure how the deck runs) and i think you need more smoldering spires or panic spellbombs to ensure that the warren instigators get through. LIke i said i dont i know if this will be helpful, im a control player not aggro lol.
thanks, I just sideboarded in dragons claw for RDW. Although the fetchlands are definitely worth it in this deck because usually you only need2 to 3 lands which you get in opening hand. After that fetchlands help to get all burn spells and gobs instead of more lands which greatly puts the game in your favor.
For what you use Arid Mesa and Scalding Tarn if you dont need an island or plains? And golbin guide isnt good he only deal 2 damage on the 1 turn and after he helps only your enemies to get more land in hand .And Spikeshot Elder works only if you have the 4 goblin chieftain in play.
What yadamaster says is very true Krenko, Mob Boss may be above the mana curve.. but with the special ability of Warren Instigator you can get it out 3rd turn, then if you get a Goblin Chieftain on the field, you are flying in for A LOT of damage, very very quickly, with that many creatures hitting 2/3 by 4th turn 1 Goblin Grenade is going to finish them off, also works for drawn out games. :) Loving the deck. +1
