Maybeboard

A much more detailed primer will eventually be added once I've tested this deck out more, currently my focus is more on my Kethis Aristocrats list so it may be a while before this happens.

Enchantress commander deck with Estrid, the Masked as the commander.

The deck has been edited considerably by taking out the combo that I felt was most convoluted to achieve, in a section at the bottom of the full primer I will add that old combo for anyone who wants to see it and use it themselves in their own decks, but for me it didn't feel right in the deck so I have replaced it with some more consistent combos that can be used in different situations in my meta depending on what decks my opponents have.

The first win con is the old faithful way to win in Enchantress which utilises Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest to generate infinite squirrel tokens to punch face with, the best part about this combo is that it can be activated at instant speed and so technically dodges removal, and if done at the end of your opponents turn allows you to attack with your squirrel army straight away.

The second win con we have is the newly released one from Theros of Heliod, Sun-Crowned and a lifelinking Walking Ballista to infinitely deal damage to everyone at the table gaining you infinite life, all you need is the mana to give Ballista two +1 counters and to give it lifelink from Heliod and you've won.

And finally the decks third win con involves another new card from Theros in Archon of Sun's Grace, this card, when paired with Enchanted Evening and Aura Shards will allow you to make infinite Pegasus tokens and destroy all of your opponents permanents allowing you to swing in unopposed!. Now, the combo does work with just Archon and Enchanted Evening, however, the Aura Shards is needed if you actually want to win, this is because without Aura Shards to blow up your Enchanted Evening the game will end in a draw as there is no way to stop the line if left on it's own.

This is the old combo that I had in the deck, it worked fairly decently but is just too convoluted in my opinion and could fall flat quite often with the wrong cards in hand. I'm just adding it here for people to see and potentially use it themselves.

The main win con for the deck if everything gets set up right is to get out Academy Rector and kill it with cards like High Market and Greater Good and exile it to get Omniscience out, then cast cantrips and enchantments (if you have an enchantress or two out to help you draw more) until you get to Attunement in which case you can keep going until you find Eternal Witness and Winds of Rebuke to mill everyone out at the table including yourself leaving only Nexus of Fate in your library, from then on you have infinite turns and can do a whole load of stuff such as Words of Wind and just bounce everyones stuff back to their hands and then punch face with Tuvasa the Sunlit.

The now second old combo involves having enchanted lands that tap for a total of 5+ mana, Estrid and The Chain Veil with a mask token attached and either Chronic Flooding or Mesmeric Orb. With this process you can gain infinite mana at the same time as milling your entire library, once you have your yard in the graveyard you can ultimate Estrid and bring back Heliod, God of the Sun and Concordant Crossroads, you then sink your infinite mana into creating infinite hasty Clerics and swing at your opponents in one go.

Thanks to me not reading cards properly and user jaredrjared pointing it out to me The Chain Veil combo I had listed does not work like I thought it did, however as they are good cards I will be keeping Oblivion Ring and Blind Obedience in the deck but The Chain Veil will be out as it takes way too long to set up with little payoff at the end of it, I will be replacing it with Green Sun's Zenith as another tutor to help get out an Enchantress or maybe even Destiny Spinner or Dryad of the Ilysian Grove if the situation arises for either of them.

IN:

Green Sun's Zenith

OUT:*

The Chain Veil
