Description

R/B Control. This deck has been a constant work in progress since Eldritch Moon and has always been somewhere between being effective or just missing something somewhere.

I like the deck and what you have done with it, but I think you could definitely benefit from making the deck more consistent. I would pick the best performing cards in your deck and make them more prevalent throughout.

Personally, I would find a way to make Unlicensed Disintegration a more powerful card within your deck by adding more artifacts that will trigger the burn ability and then I would move up to a 4 of. I would take Ruinous Path over to the side board because of its sorcery speed. With the Live Fast+Harnessed Lightning combo you have going on I would cut out Galvanic Bombardment and Incendiary Flow to make more room for the powerful combination.

Ditto on making Unlicensed Disintegration a 4-of. It's essentially Doom Blade and Bolt in a single card. To support this, I'd add either the R or B "Implement of" cycle from AER, or maybe like Bomat Courier or Scrapheap Scrounger. That would also enable Revolt more often. Then I'd sideboard Kalitas and maybe the Dark-Dwellers --you've got enough finishers in there that you just need to support them in the early-to-mid game.

Live Fast or Glint-Sleeve Siphoner if you want some more E for the Harnessed Lightning?

Shock would be a good fit. Also, if you're doing control in black, Transgress the Mind, Mind Rot, Witness the End, and or Thought-Knot Seer are good cards for that strategy.

Good luck!

COol deck. I played my RB control for the first time last night. I agree with you on it being effective or just missing. The games where I missed land drops, badly, it was just dead. I mean I had enough removal to weather the storm for a bit.

I Like the suggestions of Bomat Courier or Scrapheap Scrounger. I thought Dark Dwellers got work done, but am looking for, hoping something in the new set can fill that role.

HOw do you like the Live Fast in here?
