Be careful of deals made with the flying hippo

Commander / EDH Group Hug GWU (Bant) Multiplayer Pillow Fort

Shinigami17

So I once promised myself that I would never play group hug because I always believed that EDH was about winning with powerful creatures, infinite combos, or by controlling the board. However, as I got more experienced into Magic, I quickly grew board with those types of decks. Then one day while watching Youtube, I came across The Commander Quarter's. The Commander Quarter's focus on building budget EDH decks that can still be considered powerful. In one of the videos they feature Pheldagriff, so I watched it. They described it as part group hug, but the end result is winning by giving your opponent hippos. This caught my interest, so after watching the video I built the deck and the 1st game I played with it, my opponent, who was running a Trostani token deck, rage scooped because he couldn't deal with not being able to kill me. I had so much fun with that I had to share it. Now I have have tweaked it a little with some personal favorites, but the main bulk of the deck is budget and it's really fun. You win by helping someone who can help you stay a live in return and it's down to you and them, you win by flooding their board with hippos. They REALLY shoulkd be careful of the deals they make....(here is the original video if you are interested. Definitely check the channel out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQt3czJzADM
