Sorcery (4)

Deathtouch is a fun ability. This deck wants to make as much use of it as possible, and in some brutal ways. The plan is essentially to beat your opponent down, making sure your creatures always trade up. The deck also operates pretty well on the defensive, with a very solid removal suite and the surprise that can come from flashing in a Dire Fleet Poisoner or turning a trade into a lethal blow with Midnight Charm .

I used to have a partially-green deck with similar goals, but it focused more on giving things first strike with equipment. This deck just wants to stab some guts without the preamble. It can save its creatures in the spur of the moment, with instant-speed removal or the aforementioned charm, but prefers to reanimate them later with Isareth the Awakener . She gives you a second use of every deadly deathtoucher, each of which will certainly cost your opponent a card.

The other creatures are as aggressive as can be. Ruthless Ripper comes down early and feels bad for your opponent to trade with at any stage of the game. Gifted Aetherborn makes sure your opponent is always two steps behind you. Vampire Nighthawk and Bone Picker dive for the throat from the air, knocking angel, dragon, or djinn heads on the way if they have to. Dire Fleet Ravager takes a chunk out of the opponent, and their field. Deathtouch and menace together are scary.
