Sideboard

Control? Reanimator? Rock? Sultai? Yes. We have all of those things here. Control needs to either wield a massively powerful infinite combo, or run the strongest road-block creature in Standard: Ishkana, Grafwidow. I have won so very many games against the toughest decks in the format by simply casting the spider queen. Very often, a Vehicles or Snakes deck will be happily beating in when suddenly Ishkana, Grafwidow and the beats come to a grinding halt. But...okay. We'll just Unlicensed Disintegration the Widow herself. Then all we have are some chumps and we're good to go! When following this powerhouse creature being killed with a Grapple with the Past to be recast bringing three more spiderlings, an opponent often accepts defeat right then and there. Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is a house against the flood of aggressive decks in Standard. Finally, Torrential Gearhulk allows us to recast key instant-speed spells from our graveyard. Often, this is a removal our counterspell, but don't discount recasting Grapple with the Past for another threat. Perhaps, returning another Torrential Gearhulk for ridiculous value. From here, we use a delirium and control package to enable the most powerful cards in our deck, as well as set our opponent off of their game-plan long enough to utilize these effects.
