I agree that they would be great in many battle of wits decks. However, with this deck I don't try to stick around long and instead try to play BoW and win by around the 5th or 6th turn consistently.
Yeah thats a problem with probably all my decks. I don't know of a good resource to check if a card can be used or not so I just make decks for kicks. I probably won't ever purchase the cards for one of these decks.
It looks like Gifts Ungiven, Mystical Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Demonic Tutor are the Banned or restricted cards.
I fixed them. Now I think this deck is legal.
I would add Underground Sea , Tundra , and Scrubland
