You get a +1 from be just for the description alone. Looks good but I must ask why not at least a 1 of Dynavolt Tower with all those Instant/Sorceries?

Perhaps remove 2 Wandering Fumarole in favor of 2 Geier Reach Sanitarium it should help with pacing and offer a fair bit of utility.

Definite +1 for the description. My only concern would be card draw. I think you may want something more than just tormenting voice. Have you considered Jori En? Would work well with madness. To my understanding casting the madness spell would draw you a card.

@kmalsom He has Bedlam Reveler as well.

Was going to respond to everyone individually, but I like all of the suggestions. Going to be adding everything to the maybeboard, pending possible swaps in the main deck. Thanks, and keep them coming!

Have you looked into running Harnessed Lightning over Shock?

kampfy_wampfy says... #7

Thought about Harnessed Lightning. If I decide to go in the direction of using Dynavolt Tower I'll definitely make the switch, but for now, I prefer the single casting cost.

This deck is AWESOME.

kampfy_wampfy, I agree, the one to cast Shock is pretty good, it disrupts the Cat Lady combo, and removes a counter more quickly from TiTI, plus you can go straight to the face of your opponent.

Rise from the Tides is cool, but can be wiped by your Thing in the Ice  Flip flip.

@Geo67: I've found that Thing in the Ice  Flip is typically flipped by the time Rise from the Tides gets cast. However, it is a valid point and something to watch out for.

I'd replace Rise from the Tides w/ Torrential Gearhulk. Firstly, RftT has harmful synergy with TitI while the gearhulk has helpful synergy. Secondly, you only have around a 63% chance to have RftT create more power than Torrential Gearhulk (assuming you cast both on turn 6). Thirdly, it flashes back spells and is a surprise blocker.

torrential gearhulk would be good in this deck

What about Collective Defiance, or Kari Zev's Expertise? The expertise combos with any of your two-drop spells, such as Thing in the Ice  Flip, Thermo-Alchemist, et.al, and also helps your spell count in the graveyard too. Just a thought, because otherwise I think the deck is great.

To those that recommended Torrential Gearhulk; two things. One, I really like Rise from the Tides. In playtesting, I've found that it tends to "get there" towards the end. My big concern is the zombies getting exiled due to Declaration in Stone, but hey, draw power from clues is nice. Two, he's pricy and I haven't gotten my hands on one yet. Nonetheless, I'll throw him in the maybeboard, as I do agree (minus above) he'd be a good fit.

@DrLitebur: Collective Defiance I did consider, it just didn't make the final cut, though it is a solid card! Kari Zev's Expertise I did not think of and I'll be adding it to the maybeboard as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! Keep them coming.

February 2, 2017 10:24 p.m.

unfortunatly you wouldn't get any draw power from a successful Dec in Stone to your zombies because they are token creatures. +1 from me for the deck.

PoseidenGodofSeas: AHHH. You're right. Okay, that's another reason to swap over to the gearhulk, then...

Honestly with Baral, Chief of Compliance Take Inventorywouldn't be such a bad card as well as Cathartic Reunion instead of Tormenting Voice you do have to discard 2 but you dig deeper into your deck. If anything Pore Over the Pages is a solid card in a deck like this.

@InvolvedSmile: Thanks for the suggestion. Just added Take Inventory and Pore Over the Pages to the maybeboard. I'm not as big a fan of Cathartic Reunion, only because I have so little madness cards in the deck.

@ Everyone: Will be playtesting this tonight as is and will make changes after I see how it plays. Thanks to everyone again! Updates will be coming after tonight, I'm sure.

The only thing I see that this deck really needs besides the Gearhulks would be card advantage. Anticipate or Glimmer?

February 5, 2017 12:12 a.m.

kampfy_wampfy says... #20

Anticipate is in there. Also have Tormenting Voice.

Like the new additions!

Where would you put the gearhulks if you had them?I have a set and I'm struggling to decide on what to take out

February 7, 2017 1:32 a.m.

kampfy_wampfy says... #22

My thoughts:

-1 Jori En, Ruin Diver
-1 Dynavolt Tower
-1 Harnessed Lightning

+3 Torrential Gearhulk

I don't know that it needs a full playset, but if I were to remove one more card, it'd probably be to lose one Hungry Flames, as it can potentially be circumstantial.

February 7, 2017 10:03 a.m.

kampfy_wampfy says... #23

Actually, on second thought, maybe you just pull out three Hungry Flames. Could be another way to go, considering the circumstantial use mentioned above.
