Bant Good Stuff [[1st Place FNM!]] (Standard MTG Deck)

This is the updated version of my previous Bant Midrange deck. This version of the deck has a lower curve and is more aggressive, and is more of a tempo deck (like Jund Monsters) than it was before.

The deck has plenty of powerful interactions, powered in part by Chord of Calling. For instance, Brimaz, King of Oreskos having vigilance and creating vigilant tokens powers Chord of Calling, and you can Chord after attacking with Brimaz (but before damage). You can also Chord for Archangel of Thune before lifegain happens (for instance, from Courser of Kruphix or Scavenging Ooze or lifelink from Ajani Steadfast).

Note that even though I currently only have 1 Ajani Steadfast, I intend to acquire a second and find room for it in this deck. I also want to acquire a copy of Nylea, God of the Hunt for this deck, as giving my enormous creatures trample seems good (and I can Chord for it, so having just one is fine).

First FNM — July 19, 2014

I took this version of the deck to FNM for the first time and went 4-0, beating R/W Heroic, G/W hexproof, Mono White aggro/devotion, and G/W tokens. I didn't lose a single game all night, and the deck feels very powerful. I feel I could have played better (I almost punted the first game of the night), but that will come as I play the deck more.

I feel like the deck really wants a second Ajani Steadfast, but other than that, I'm quite happy with it.
