The primary strategy is to either get out Doom Whisperer or Necrologia ASAP. This can either be achieved through ramping and tutoring or even quicker with cards like Entomb and Reanimate .

Once you are able to get Doom Whisperer on the board (between turn 3-5 typically), you are going to wait right before your turn and surveil until you find Songs of the Damned or a cheap tutor that can find you Songs of the Damned . Draw that card you left on top, then proceed to surveil like crazy again. If people are tapped out, I will usually leave myself around 4 life or so just to maximize my win chances. One your graveyard is packed with plenty of threats, play Songs of the Damned and then Balthor.

Necrologia is plan B because you can't be nearly as risky as you can with Doom Whisperer due to each opponent getting another turn before you can go off. Other than it being less effective, the plan is the same. Get creatures in your graveyard and get Songs of the Damned .

If I have 5+ mana on my Balthor turn, I will cast Balthor first to bait out any counter magic. Then I will drop Songs of the Damned and typically net about 10-15 mana. Then 99% of the time you can find a win condition with your multiple tutors and mana dorks being reanimated. These will pave the way to find one or more of your infinite combos.

Infinite Damage - Plague Belcher OR Vengeful Dead OR Zulaport Cutthroat and any zombie on your board + Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar

Infinite Damage - Blasting Station + Pitiless Plunderer + Gravecrawler + any zombie on your board

Infinite Damage - Blasting Station + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Skinrender OR Putrid Goblin

Infinite Mill - Pitiless Plunderer + Altar of Dementia + Gravecrawler + any zombie on your board and mill yourself or your opponents.

Infinite Draw - Grim Haruspex + Phyrexian Altar + Gravecrawler + any zombie on your board
