Pretty straightforward equipment deck. At the moment, I'm having trouble balancing the creature-equipment ratio. For now, it's at 23c/17e.

There's no real strategy here, just cast creatures, equip them and mash. Puresteel Paladin is obviously the most important card in the deck. He's the only real reason to ever use Colossus Hammer in a deck, to say the least. However, Loxodon Punisher can be a game ender given the proper conditions.

I'm going with Colossus Hammer, Loxodon Warhammer, Sword of Vengeance and Lightning Greaves to cover all the bases for success with creatures (power boost, trample, lifelink, haste, etc.), and the rest of what I listed is kinda just a Who's Who of equipment spells. In fact, I don't even own some of the equipment I listed here, and am actually running 2x Mask of Avacyn and a second Sword of Light and Shadow in place of the Hammer of Nazahn and the 2 Sword of Fire and Ice that are listed above, because I'm too old to spend that kind of money on Magic (haha...).

It doesn't matter which equipment is there as much as it might seem, though, because once the punisher enters, all that's important is that there's a lot of it, it's boosting his power a lot, and it's giving him trample and haste. I do think that the Masterwork of Ingenuity is also a must, but only because it offers cheap redundancy.

For the rest of the creature base, I decided to keep mostly to a tribal knight theme since the Puresteel is a knight. Doing so allows Acclaimed Contender to be much more effective. To that end, I felt that Benalish Marshal and Knight Exemplar were the best choices. Also, Danitha Capashen, Paragon fits the theme nicely. And finally, Balan, Wandering Knight, the namesake of the deck, serves the same purpose as the Punisher, can be fetched with the Contender and can be equipped immediately upon arrival even if someone manages to nuke all of your Paladins. The non-knight creatures in the deck should be obvious additions.

Any suggestions or critiques are encouraged.

Enjoy.
