The idea is to ramp really hard with creatures and other permanents into good token generators and sacrifice outlets. Here I am seeing Vaevictus as a powerful sacrifice outlet and that is a large theme for the deck. I want to avoid cards that have low impact affects from sacrificing creatures. This is why I have avoided cards like Viscera Seer . Thoughtpicker Witch Is one of my lowest impact sacrifice outletsbut it pairs so well with Vaevictus that I am going to keep it.

Another big concern is protecting my value creatures which is the reason for cards such as Blessing of Leeches and Hammer of Nazahn which ensures that Vaevictus gets to attack. Other than that, I have boardwipes and removal. I think where this deck lacks is in top end/finisher style cards so in this version I added a few more of the "end the game" kind of cards. Such as Utvara Hellkite and Stonehoof Chieftain . I may sub out the chieftain for Eldrazi Monument since it is a similar price, more on theme, and a lower cmc while lettig me do similar things that Stonehoof does.

I am avoiding cards that manipulate strictly the top of the library or tutor to the top because they are either too slow or too expensive. The way I see it, I am likely only going to attack with Vaevictus maybe 5 times a game since he has such a big target on his head. So I don't want too much of my deck to be devoted to setting up the top of my library for him. Instead I'd rather just have better cards.

Additionally, I think my card draw could be better.

Let me know of some good "on theme" cards you think of. I don't really know the "theme" but I'm sure its there somewhere.
