Known more optimistically as "End-Raze Elves," this Elf deck is primarily looking to team with an 8-drop Boar for a massive, game-ending attack. However, unlike your grandfather's Standard Elfhoof deck from the Innistrad-Ravnica days, the Elves nowadays are actually pretty good at fighting on their own.

This deck will test your ability to quickly add up small numbers in your head & keep a poker face while doing it. Stay in school, whipper-snappers.

<1>

Llanowar Elves : The real grandpa around here. He's been ramping into 3-drops like Steel Leaf Champion on turn 2 or 5 drops like Vivien on turn 3 since the Roosevelt administration. The first Roosevelt administration.

<2>

Incubation Druid : Mana dorks that turn into 3/5's are definitely something that your old man wouldn't be familiar with. Also, having one dork chipping in 3 mana means two other dorks can attack when the End-Raze comes.

Paradise Druid : Solid, old-fashioned dork that offers a reasonable body for early combat & protects itself to ensure that your ramping plans aren't disrupted by removal.

Elvish Clancaller : The necessity of a good Lord in an Elf deck spans back for generations. However, a Lord that can tutor more of its Lord buddies onto the battlefield as a combat trick is something new.

Growth-Chamber Guardian : Another cheap body that gives your dorks something to do with all that extra mana. Turning one card into 4 is fun for all ages.

Thorn Lieutenant : Nice-sized butts are timeless. This solid 2-drop offers good early defense against weenies, while providing yet another mana sink for later in the game.

<3>

Steel Leaf Champion : A 5/4 Elf for 3?! What are they feeding kids these days?!

Marwyn, the Nurturer : In case 12 other dorks aren't enough, Marwyn has an old-fashioned work ethic & is willing to do a variety of jobs, whether it be single-handedly ramping into the Forerunners or attacking for huge damage.

<4>

Beast Whisperer : Just as his forefathers did all they could to drag Craterhoof out of the deck, this guy helps find End-Raze, creating a massive army of Elves in the process.

<5>

Vivien Reid : Another way to scour the deck in search of our Boar master. Also takes care of any of those fancy, high-tech flying gizmos that you opponent might be running.

<8>

End-Raze Forerunners : He ain't Craterhoof Behemoth , but just like Grandpa did during the Depression, we gotta make due with what we got. I'm sure the vigilance will be relevant for...something maybe...
