Self Preservation

Protect your creatures with Eldrazi Monument--> even better when paired with free creatures from Bitterblossom/Acorn Catapult, or creatures that can be recurred such as Reassembling Skeleton, Bloodsoaked Champion, and zombie tokens from Grave Titan.

Recursion

Recur your own creatures through the use of Nim Deathmantle, Endless Whispers, Palace Siege, Phyrexian Reclamation, Wretched Confluence, Liliana Vess, Beacon of Unrest, Profane Command, Fated Return, Mimic Vat, Volrath's Stronghold, and a full graveyard return by killing our own Kozilek, Butcher of Truth.
