Others may claim that they rule the planes of the multiverse, but both you and I know that Azor and the sphinxes are the true rulers. Without Azor the multiverse has fallen into anarchy and disarray (looking at you Nicol Bolas). However, do not fret, Azor, the Lawbringer has returned with the sphinxes of the planes to restore peace and justice!

I saw Azor, the Lawbringer during the spoilers for Rivals of Ixalan, and I knew that my life was complete. He just screamed Commander to me. I mean seriously, he controls the board when he hits the field, and draws cards and gains me life! I started making the deck and decided to make sphinx tribal because A: I love tribal decks, and B: I love sphinxes. So basically the deck is a control theme sphinx tribal (with a few exceptions: Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur).
