As soon as I saw Ayli, I knew I was making her a commander. I made this deck mostly out of what I had on hand, so I'm definitely looking to improve it.

The basic strategy that I've got going here is to use Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim's ability to gain a bunch of life, while also taking advantage of effects like Athreos, God of Passage and Butcher of Malakir. By sacrificing a ton of stuff for life, I can start exiling permanents. I've managed to get the deck to the point that, unless my opponent is somehow preventing me from sacrificing creatures or from gaining life, I have a pretty good shot at winning. This is due to a couple of win cons in Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond or Defiant Bloodlord, Felidar Sovereign, and Debt to the Deathless which has won me a couple of games at this point.

If there are any optimizations I could make or cards that I might have missed, please let me know! I really like this deck and I'm always looking to improve it! Any and all feedback is appreciated!

UPDATE: I've finally come back to updating this deck after about a year, and I'm happy with the new editions! Ashes of the Abhorrent and Beacon of Immortality found their way into the deck and have been doing great work in gaining the requisite life to win the game. Those cards, comboed with Aetherflux Reservoir and the other new cards that gain me life from a million different directions, and I've got a 50 damage win-con. In order to get there, Ghostly Prison has replaced Archangel of Tithes, raising the cost of a punch to my face from 1/creature to 2/creature. Blind Obedience is joined by Authority of the Consuls in making my opponents mad, providing both precious time for me, as well as some sweet, sweet life. Debt to the Deathless has found its soulmate in Exsanguinate, and Corpse Augur was switched out for Disciple of Bolas. Finally, Kambal, Consul of Allocation is here to ping my opponents and bring in the life.

Hopefully I'll be updating this deck more frequently in the future, but for now I am much happier with where this deck is than where it was a year ago.
