Well, so far, the mini-life gain helps every now and then. I'm still searching for Darien, and won't add him to the decklist until I find him. Well of Lost Dreams works pretty well with life gain, no matter how small the amount.
This is my first EDH deck, too. XD Pretty much the deck strives to survive until Avacyn comes out, then full out attack. Life gain is there to make sure I last longer.
In my recent playtests, it does okay, though it has a problem against EDH decks with a lot of eldrazi, infect creatures and sacrifice spell, it's fun to play, and for me it makes me think of Innistrad. Humans struggling and barely holding the lines until the angels come out. I want to make thalia work for the deck, but there are too many noncreature spells in it.

Also, Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant and Auriok Champion aren't exactly big threats to other players, compared to other creatures in the deck. I tend to use my auras on them after opponents use up their removal spells on bigger threats. Dunno if that's practical, but it seems to work for me. _

How about Light from Within to buff your chumps up to fatty status?
September 16, 2012 12:23 a.m.
Hm.... So far the new additions seem to work. I'm thinking of adding Captain of the Watch and Odric, Master Tactician to the deck as well. What do you guys think?
I'm also trying to find a good card-draw effect that's easy to find... any suggestions?

I have Felidar Sovereign and Ajani's mantra already, but I'm currently trying to keep my creature base strictly humans and angels atm. If only Rhox was a human. >.<

I have no huge suggestion, but for my mono-colored EDH decks I always use extraplanar lens + snow covered lands just for the extra mana boost
but other than that I really like this deck, the new angel in RTR will work nicely in this deck as well!!
+1
September 30, 2012 7:06 p.m.
Thanks! I'm trying to look for extraplanar lens, but for now, Cloud Key and Semblance Anvil will have to do.
Also, I'm not too familiar on how snow-covered lands work since I just started playing MTG during Innistrad...
As for Angel of Serenity... With her, I may have to alter my creature base from Knights into soldiers... to add Knight Captain of Eos, Captain of the Watch and Catapult master, so that I can take full advantage of Conjurer's closet for pseudo blink-shenanigans.

Avacyn, Angel of Hope should never be a general ever, ever, ever. It is just too overpowered for anyone's good
October 10, 2012 6:14 p.m.
Well... I don't think she's overpowered. She takes a while to summon and players tend to gang up on me when she's about to come out.
A lot of the time when I manage to summon her, my opponents usually have an eldrazi or large infect creature out or has some exile cards to get rid of her without letting me use her yet.
I think Kaalia of the Vast is overpowered, for what she does and how early she can be brought out on the battlefield. But it's fun to play against her deck... unless the opponent has Iona, Shield of Emeria in their hand. -_-
Thanks for your opinion, though. _

How about an Odric, Master Tactician if you can fit it? Serra Ascendant and Serra Avenger come to mind also for the flavor and creature types.
October 12, 2012 5:59 p.m.
oh and +1 from me. love it. ooh, maybe a Voice of All as well?
October 12, 2012 6 p.m.
I'm considering Odric and currently looking for Serra Ascendant. Serra Avenger and Voice of All I already have, but they don't seem to be that useful when I played with them... Who do you think could Odric replace from my creature base?

White Fatties EDH I feel there's a strong difference between our decks that you could take from.

I recommend using Mycosynth Lattice to at least have 1 card to deal with mono color hate.
Simply Ritz is my white edh in progress. the general is changable ofc. help appreciated.

I like this deck a lot! Not just because it works well but because white is my fav. color. If it were me playing the deck, I'd ram it with global effects and mana ramp to play avacyn early then blow everything up. I can imagine everybody getting pissed off at that and it'd be fun :) +1! I like it!
October 15, 2012 7:50 a.m.
Hm... Mycosynth Lattice looks like a good counter against an opponent who's also got Iona, Shield of Emeria . Taking note of that card.
White Fatties EDH looks pretty tough to go up against. I've been searching for cards like Weathered Wayfarer and Radiant, Archangel , but have yet to find them.
Simply Ritz looks fun to play in multiplayer. :D

Riders of Gavony , card:Victory's Herald, Loyal Sentry , and Palisade Giant would all be nice additions to the deck. Also if you could get a Concerted Effort that would be wicked fun. Also Akroma, Angel of Wrath is always a fun angel to run.

May as well try Pariah since this is EDH and you have the means to make your creatures Indestructible. Even if you can't, it's good for a laugh to put on one of your opponent's creatures.
March 23, 2013 2:19 a.m.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll hunt for that card and Beacon of Destiny while I'm at it. XD

Your deck is very slow for mana ramp, and you lack a decent amount of tutors for your Worldslayer . You could also use more land tutors or lands that tutor lands for activation of Admonition Angel . Thawing Glaciers would be nice. Kor Cartographer and Solemn Simulacrum are very helpful. Your mass board wipe is too slow, might i sugest a Sunscour ?

A lot of cool cards in here. I play mono white as well, deck:mono-white-edh-11-09-12-2, with a lot of similar things going on. I often find that I want to do TOO much, but it seems like you're pretty focused on gaining life and preventing your opponent from doing things - which I like. I'm curious though, do the small life gains from Soul Warden, etc., help that much in the long haul? I know a lot of people use them with Darien, King of Kjeldor as their general, but outside of that combo, I couldn't justify them in my own deck, even with token generation.
Overall, how has the deck been performing?
If you get a chance, please drop by my deck and give me some advice. I've only just gotten into EDH, and it's my first deck.
