Aura Stompy

Sideboard

Enchantment (5)

Sorcery (3)

Inspired by JOSEPRIO's 5-0 enchantress deck seen here: (https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/mtgo-standings/pauper-constructed-league-2018-03-21) I wanted to edit it just a little to better fit my playstyle.

At first this list definitely looks like a bad Slippery Bogle deck, but the power lies in the land enchantments + Aura Gnarlid and Yavimaya Enchantress. After dropping 2 or 3 enchantments down you have 8 creatures that become a necessary "must answer" threat even before you start dropping crazy things like Ancestral Mask and Ethereal Armor. The downside of losing hexproof is surprisingly irrelevant since you quickly get out of red removal range and then only have to worry about Journey to Nowhere or Doom Blade. With a bit of smart aura placement even those can become tough decisions for your opponent (kill a 5/5 unblockable Gnarlid or a 4/4 lifelink Nest Invader?). They also traditionally run 4 or fewer exile or "destroy target creature" cards in their entire 75, which is usually just not enough for how many big threats this deck can get on the board.

I've upped the creature count to be a little closer to Green Stompy's aggro approach, and rely much less on enchanting the "+1/+1 per enchantment" creatures. I've found this allows for more explosive openers (Rancor + Ethereal Armor on a Vault Skirge) followed up with consistent 5/5 for 3cmc drops.

All suggestions welcome! :)
