This deck is surprisingly versatile, however it's core m.o. is keeping a fairly low profile till there is only a couple of opponents left then inflating Atogatog, swinging for lethal and perhaps then flinging it at someone else to end the game. It's ability to kamikaze in this fashion can also prove to be a helpful deterrent for those considering knocking you out of the game. I don't actually have the more expensive fetchlands in the deck, but I've listed them as they do make the deck better.

Earlier versions of this deck had changelings, but I've taken them out for the purity of true atog tribal solidarity, as well as to enhance the potential eggsyness of it.

But aside from all that goodness, here is a list of other semi-plausible routes to victory or other interesting interactions.

  • Both Meekstone and Ensnaring Bridge work well with most of the atogs in the deck as one, you can simply feed them to an atog when you're ready to attack, but if you don't quite wish to do that yet, you can attack first and then inflate them to get around Ensnaring Bridge. Meekstone is automatically gotten around as the Atogs shrink back to size before it's time to untap.
  • This deck can occasionally combo off in an Eggs Deckesque manner. Sacrificing artifacts lands (plus some enchantments) and atogs to massively power up your atog as well as possibly draw some cards from the artifact triggers. Followed by a Faith's Reward or Second Sunrise, bringing all of above back untapped to be used or sacrificed again. Noxious Revival or Reclaim can lead to additional cycles of this.
  • If your opponents tap out and don't have a Kozilek or Ulamog, or if they have one but it's on the battlefield you can use the Frozen AEther Stasis Chronotog combo to give them endless useless turns till they draw through their deck and lose.
  • The right combination of Atogs can enable the greatest and most satisfying victory of all. Barren Glory.
  • I've discovered it's fun to Iron-works mana into a Kessig Wolf run into turning an opponent attacking another in a token gesture to suddenly lethal commander damage.
