Atla Palani's Dinosaurs!

Commander / EDH RGW (Naya)

tribal-kai

Atla Palani, Nest Tender.

A dinosaur tribal Enrage deck. We want to cheat our creatures into play with Atla's Egg tokens and then get some Enrage triggers going for even more effects.

Failing that, we can always cheat big creatures into play and go stompy stompy.

The included Enrage cards are:

Bellowing Aegisaur, Polyraptor, Ripjaw Raptor, Silverclad Ferocidons & Trapjaw Tyrant. Also, the Eggs only have 1 toughness so they'll die to any damage too.

I like Silverclad Ferocidons because it forces our opponents to sac multiple permanents if we can get multiple points of damage onto it. And we don't have to worry about it dying at all if Bellowing Aegisaur is in play, because the damage will be negated by the +1/+1 counters.

The same is true with Ripjaw Raptor and card draw.

The Enrage enablers include:

Forerunner of the Empire (which is a may ability so it's very useful), Marauding Raptor, Raging Swordtooth, Fiery Confluence & Blasphemous Act.

There are some cards of note, one of which is Mirror Entity. This card can not only buff our creatures, but turn them all into every creature type, including Eggs. So we can turn our creatures into 0/0 Eggs (for 0 mana) whilst Atla is in play and when the creatures die they will trigger our commander. Getting us into a bunch of free creatures.

If we do this with too many creatures in play we may end up playing every single creature in the deck. So it might be worth including a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or some other kind of shuffle effect to keep creatures in our deck.

I'm sure there's an infinite loop you could include with this too.

Speaking of infinite loops, I found one by accident whilst playing (it's well known apparently, but I didn't include it on purpose). Polyraptor + Marauding Raptor = infinite Polyraptor. The problem is that it's literally infinite and you can't stop it without a sac outlet. There are 2 in the deck but it may need more.

2 sac outlets include Goblin Bombardment for killing off our own Eggs & Ashnod's Altar for the same thing. Although the Altar can also be used in a combo with Thornbite Staff.

Atla Palani, Nest Tender + Ashnod's Altar + Thornbite Staff = infinite sacrificed Eggs, which means we play out every creature from our deck. Regisaur Alpha give our Dinosaurs Haste so we should be able to swing in for lethal on most of, if not all the table.

And cards like Forerunner of the Empire, Worldly Tutor, Congregation at Dawn, Mirri's Guile, Sylvan Library & Scroll Rack stack the top our our Library too so we can dictate what we get into off of the Egg triggers.
