It is my pleasure to introduce you to Atla of the House Palani, First of Her Name, Queen of the Hellkites, the Wardscales, and the Ventmaws, Protector of the Sun Empire, Tender of the Great Grass Nest, Breaker of Metas, and the True Mother of Dragons.

I've been trying to find a way to make a Dragon-tribal deck that truly speaks to me. It began with the C17 Draconic Domination pre-con deck. Then I switched it to a Sarkhan Unbroken Oathbreaker deck. And now, it's a Naya beat-down deck. I've always wanted a Naya deck, but I never found any true inspiration for it. But seeing "little" dragons hatch out of these eggs gives me a zest for the color combination. I'm pretty out of my element, though.

The goal of the deck is to drop eggs and make them hatch into big stompy dragons. I imagine that Atla will beg for a decent amount of removal, so I want to get this gameplan started as soon as I can. Having her on the board with a few eggs is a great board wipe deterrent, but one Doom Blade heading her way will cut off any hope of recovery. So ramp, protection, and big dragons are the name of the game, here.
