Why Atraxa? Show

Atraxa is probably one of the best commanders out there when you are looking for versatility and usability. Her ability to proliferate in your end step is usable in many different strategies. Here shown 'Stax'.

This decklist is heavily influenced by my playgroup, and should probably not get copied 100%, rather exchange cards from the mainlist with others from the maybeboard if the deck doesn't fit your group.

Once again I added Sundial of the Infinite, because I want to try a couple of games with it, to see whether it actually does something or not. -Orb of Dreams. Also got ahold of Academy Rector which I ended up removing Mana Web for. -Mental Misstep, +Dispel

Oh boy. I played around a bit with the deck, and realized that the whole token kit was wasted cardspace, since the card Opposition, which I thought would have a major impact on the game, never worked. It was inconsistent, and I never felt that I was in a position where playing it would help me. Therefore; -Bitterblossom, -Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, -Opposition. The only token producer that I kept is Elspeth, Sun's Champion since this is a very proactive card. She does close to everything you could want from a monowhite planeswalker. Since I currently am aqcuiring the tutors for the deck, I had three free spots for them, +Demonic Tutor, +Vampiric Tutor, +Enlightened Tutor. Also, since the point I added Phyresis, Ichor Rats has been basically a dead card, and Vorel of the Hull Clade has never seen any use. +Spell Pierce, +Orb of Dreams.

Playing around a bit with the mana base and ramp. -Embargo, -Krosan Grip, -Parallax Nexus, -Merciless Eviction, +Simic Signet, +Azorius Signet, +Dimir Signet, +Basalt Monolith. Also added Stasis & Pentad Prism in order to make another lock. -Temple of the False God, -Awakening Zone

Realized that Diabolic Tutor is not a good substitute for Demonic Tutor. Replaced it with Contagion Clasp till I get ahold of the real tutor

Got ahold of the last talisman, Talisman of Progress, added Mental Misstep for some very aggressive countering in the early game. Also found Tamiyo, Field Researcher for some extra style points with Doubling Season out on the field. -Overwhelming Denial, -Utter End, -Approach of the Second Sun.

Now that I own most of the cards in the list, I changed the decklist to the deck that I am currently playing. There are still cards that I vow for, but they will arrive in the future.

I made some major changes to the landbase, adding cards that might easen up on the manafixing, such as all the lands of the 'Vivid' cycle, except for Crag ofcourse.

After a little bit of playing around with this deck, I felt the need of carddraw, so I put in Fathom Mage and did not regret it. And so I removed Lodestone Myr for now, since it didn't really show any place in the deck. The combos were a bit dull, and they weren't very effective.

Removed an Island, to add Drownyard Temple for its synergy with sacrifice effects. Removed Torpor Orb & Explosive Vegetation to make room for Mana Web & Zur the Enchanter
