Im looking for advice on if this is a good build or a bad one! Just getting back into magic! If you have an opinion please let me know what you think!

This is a control deck. I have been tweaking it for a few weeks and like where it is. Quench is a great card early game but loses its value with every turn. Perhaps Thassa's Intervention would be better. Green decks often beat Quench because of their tap for mana creatures. Negate can be a great side board card to switch Quench with, but it only blocks a noncreature spell. Maybe even Mystical Dispute would be a better side board.

Pteramander and Merfolk Secretkeeper can be sideboarded in for Overwhelmed apprentice. Pteramander for perhaps a white deck or any deck with flying creatures. It can be pumped to a 5/5 very quickly after controlling the game with our opening spells. Merfolk Secretkeeper Is a great starting card to mill with but provides no scrying which can be even more important to setup your mana base. It acts an a Great wall but even with essence capture it will never become a threat. I have also considered sideboarding Cavalier of Gales for its drawing ability but it costs a hefty amount of mana and provides the same thing as a thassa's oracle or a Pteramander. Agent of Treachery is also a very good card but requires Thassa, Deep-Dwelling to get its greatest value but would be a great combo to Add.
