Changes 3: Zendikar Drift —Jan. 27, 2016
With the Battle for Zendikar block, some great new colorless EDH support is available. Wastes are a total game changer. Wave of Vitriol isn't a total death sentence anymore (although it still sucks). I'm thinking about trying out Solemn Simulacrum and/or Burnished Hart now, but I'm not sure exactly how worth it they'd be. As for how many Wastes to run, I'm still testing that out, but my initial plan was 6. The idea is that, if somebody Vitriols, I'd be left with 6 lands, which is enough to cast my most expensive mana rock, and would activate Shrine of the Forsaken Gods if I play it next turn. I'll play around with some other numbers first before I commit to anything, though.
I'm also considering running Warping Wail. A counter spell would definitely be welcome, but its limitation to sorceries keeps me on the fence.
