I want to create a somewhat competitive Modern Deck taking advantage of Master Transmuter to bring out high costing artifact creatures to win out while preventing the opponent from doing much until then. However I'm fairly inept when it comes to creating good decks so I was looking for some advice. I don't want to go too much more expensive either. Around this price point is where I'd like to stay unless it's really necessary to increase.

(I know Baleful Strix isn't modern legal but I really like what it does so I'll be including it when I play with friends but I'd like to know what can be put in that is modern legal that will give me similar card advantage/ways to stop early threats)
